Seemed forced and out of character

I'm all for actors going out of their comfort zones or usual roles, but Julia Roberts did not bring this one home. Acting was not the best. The dwarfs made the film basically. So, kudos to them! Okay for kids, I guess. but even my son though it was "okay."

Very entertaining---great for kids and adults!

My wife and I took our 10 yr old daughter and we all enjoyed this movie thoroughly. It is very well written and well acted----Roberts is perfect as the evil queen, truly perfect. We will be purchasing this one on DVD when it becomes available. Definitely worth seeing.

    Mirror Mirror

    by

I was expecting a same old, same old Snow White. I was pleasantly surprised. Although I wasn't crazy about the actress portraying Snow White, I didn't think her acting was credible; it was a bit stilted. The other major actors were excellent. I'm not a fan of Julia Roberts, but she did a good job as a wicked queen. Overall I would most likely rent it but not own it.

    Mirror in the lake

I thought the story was told a little differently than we remember. It was well done though, and had quite a bit of laugh out loud moments. You do not need to be a child to like this movie.

Mirror Mirror - a fun, enjoyable movie

This is a great movie! It is closer to the original story of Snow White than the Disney Snow White which so many of us are more familiar. The acting is superb, the graphics are spectacular, and the storyline is easy to follow. I took my 9 year old granddaughter and she loved it too. Just go and enjoy it...don't think ahead or try to make more of it than you should!

    I loved Mirror Mirror

I thought Mirror Mirror was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. Julia Roberts and Nathan Lane were hysterical. Lily Collins and Armie Hammer had a great chemistry. The seven dwarfs/little people were great, also. The only part that confused me was the Bollywood ending. Where did that come from? You could have left that out. It was odd. Great movie other then that.

    Silly, but lots of fun

Panned by critics, I almost didn't go to see "Mirror Mirror." My ten year old daughter persuaded me to take her, and I'm glad she did. The whole movie is light-hearted, frequently funny in a laugh-out-loud way, and well worth taking one's children to see. Stay for the credits, when Tarsem, the director, has the cast break into a Bollywood song and dance production. And Julia Roberts, who is by her actions truly evil Queen, remains so charming one can't really dislike her.

    Enchanting Mirror Mirror

What an enchanting film Mirror Mirror is. The costumes are perfect for a fairy tale. Such lush colors and patterns! A feast for the eyes. I truly enjoyed the cast members. I think they were well chosen for the parts they played. A nice diversion on an afternoon.

    Timeless Tale Remake

Movie was OK but I loved the young lady that played Snow, the young man that played the Prince and the Dwarfs were comical. Julia Roberts was so-so, Nathan Lane was Fabulous!

This is just what I needed after The Hunger Games. It was light hearted, funny and just perfect. The whole cast was great and I will not give away the ending but it was perfect. This movie is for anyone who has seen the animated verison and read the books but don't take my word for it, see it for yourselves.

    Fun Family Friendly fairy tale

    by

Based on critics reviews, I thought the movie would be okay. Then I saw the trailer. I thought the movie looked great, but then again, trailers sometimes look goos when they are so not. So I bought the movie, and I have to say, if you like fairy tales and Julia Roberts, watch this movie. If you don't really like fairy tales, you'll think this movie is okay. Unless you like, really hate fairy tales. I watch this movie over and over again. Julia Roberts was pretty funny and everything looked beautiful and mystical and the special effects were great. It's a nice spin on the original Grimm's fairy tale (and the weird part is is that there is someone named Grimm appearing in this story) A-!

    Mirror Mirror is Cute Cute

    by

Took the kids to see Mirror Mirror. We all enjoyed it. Julia Roberts was great as the evil queen. I loved the twist with the Mirror - the coming out of the water effect was cool. It was funny that everyone who came in contact with the dwarfs got mugged and came back with no clothes! The queen's costumes were fantastic! I definitely recommend seeing this fun family film.

    Mirror Mirror

    by Jastect

This was a very sweet movie for young girls. My 10-year old loved it! I was slightly bored.

There were some nice touches of female empowerment. The different take on the dwarves was a nice lesson in prejudice and misjudgment. The sarcasm from Julia Robert's evil Queen was fun. This was a pretty film to watch with pretty actors and decent acting.

I loved the short appearance of Sean Bean - my fave from Game of Thrones.

Mirror Mirror on the wall how many times has the saga been retold?

    by ekvegas

In the beginning, the queen insist it is her story not the girl's (Snow White) then we learn the queen must pay for her beauty and find that rich man so if jumps with both satin heels in to the story of Snow White. I know millions of us will go to the movie and I know a lot of people will enjoy it but if they had the new hook - like Wicked, Flying Dutch, and Good Omens, this could have been a fastastical story.
