    Cute Film

    by

So, it may not be an award-winning critics fave, but I really enjoyed it, it was a light film still had some action and yes even those love scenes weren't over-the-top - making them more than bearable.

I thought it was well made and a great story. My daughter and her friend absolutely loved it. I WILL definitely tell others about it. I was very pleased with NOT seeing all the sex stuff and hearing all the language that comes out of movies these days. The movie was a huge hit for me. I wish more movies were made this way.

    Reflections on "Mirror Mirror"

If you go to this movie with high expectations, you will be disappointed. So don't. Don't have high expectations, that is. Go see the movie, but go with reasonable expecations (expect light, fluffy, and funny, not earth shattering and hilarious) and you'll be fine. It is, after all, a fairy tale. The real problem with movies today is that they're too caught up in the visuals and not enough in the storytelling. But it was just charming enough for me to say "Oy, stop being such a killjoy. Go and have fun already."

Very entertaining for 10 year old and her Mom. Gorgeous look to the movie. Heard it was lame, but turned out it was fun and glad I saw it.

    Gorgeous costumes and cinematography!

    by

When I saw the trailer it was the costumes and cinematography that really caught my eye on this one. Casting was interesting as well. The film was interesting...somewhere between a So-So and a Go rating for me. I really enjoyed the visual aspects, the story was interesting, but just not captivating. It was a good film to see to wile away an afternoon and truly escape into a fantasy. Costumes were just amazing!! Some excellent seamstresses and tailors put in some really long hours!!

    Mirror in the lake

I thought the story was told a little differently than we remember. It was well done though, and had quite a bit of laugh out loud moments. You do not need to be a child to like this movie.

Mirror, Mirror -- A Good Adaptation on Snow White

Mirror, Mirror was a good adaptation of the Snow White story, following the modern film practice of replacing helpless damsels in distress with capable, independent women who are able to take care of themselves. The acting was very good, drawing the viewer into the story. The plot was sound, the actors well-chosen for the roles, and enough surprises to keep the story interesting.

This is not a story for young children, but will provide an entertaining couple of hours--not too little, not too long--for teens and adults.

    Great first date fodder

    by ritsie

Fun way to end a great evening out. Good adult humor. Fun to see Julia Roberts as the 'bad guy'; She did a great job. Nice to see relatively new actors.

Snow White a good antidote for a rainy day

Snow White is lighthearted, campy and enjoyable. Lily Collins has good screen presence for a newcomer and Julia Roberts has fun with her wicked queen role. Nathan Lane's skills are largely wasted in his small role and same for the blink and you missed him Sean Bean, but overall the movie is entertaining, although not memorable in any way.

Very entertaining---great for kids and adults!

My wife and I took our 10 yr old daughter and we all enjoyed this movie thoroughly. It is very well written and well acted----Roberts is perfect as the evil queen, truly perfect. We will be purchasing this one on DVD when it becomes available. Definitely worth seeing.

    Exceeded expectations

I went expecting a silly, possibly mildly humorous, kids movie. I realized this was actually a really good film, overall! While the ending was clearly predictable, the journey to the end was cleverly constructed and thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend it!

My adult daughter and I really liked the show. The costumes and sets were amazing. It was a predictable movie for the most part, but we still loved it. Julie Roberts did a splendid job as always. The rest of the cast was right on top of their game also. Must go see this movie. I do not think younger children would be thrilled with the scenes in the woods. Kind of scary and above a lot of them.
