    Good Flick

Good Action, Great Acting, and surprisingly a lot of depth in this movie. A bit funny that I looked forward to M and Bond dialogue scenes as much as the car chases and fire fights.

I think this film is very fitting on the 50th anniversary of Dr. No and hopefully will not only resurrect the franchise but also energize D. Craig for Bond 24 and 25 as he is quickly becoming/is the best Bond with all respects to Sean Connery.

This is probably the first bond film where one does not fantasize about becoming James Bond which makes it that much better.

    Oh so British!

The newest James Bond flick, Skyfall, is, simply put, smashing. As always, Daniel Craig does a fantastic job being smooth, sauve, and sophisticated (even in death). M (Judi Dench) was probably the best part of the movie-- more action with her than ever before. The only downfall of the movie: in order to make room for more Judi Dench, the creators had to cut out a few of the ever-prevelant sex-scenes; although, they're still there. In the end, I have to give Dench the unabashed Most Valuable Actress award-- bloody brilliant and a Must See!

    Where's the Action?

    by

For a James Bond / 007 movie, the story was pretty good. But where's the action? Aside from the first action scene, the story unfolded very slowly and with a LOT of dialog. I also thought the villain was more creepy than evil. Nowhere near as good as the first two in the Daniel Craig series.

One of the best Bonds is back - now we just need a director to smooth things out between the set pieces

Daniel Craig's James Bond is always worth spending time with - both for the adventure of seeing where this 50 year old franchise can go next and the joy of seeing subtle acting in a very unsubtle genre. One notices however, a few hours after enjoying a couple hours of solid escapist adventure including both touching transitions (a great character exiting the series given a meaty role on the way out!) and smile inducing re-introductions of minor iconic characters (it's clear THIS Moneypenny is going to have more to do in future films even if the classic Aston Martin may not!), that between the standard set pieces (the thrilling chases, the smooth erotic encounters and the lavishly filmed travelogues) there is a certain lack in the connective tissue holding director Sam Mendes' story telling together. Yes, we do have a new villain who has freshly creepy kinks to offer, and a few jokes parsimoniously doled out, but neither the kink nor the comedy get enough screen time to fully satisfy!

    Skyfall

Loved the movie! Daniel Craig was great. Nice directing by Sam Mendes. Very innovative action sequences especially the one in Hong Kong. I like the new charecters. Javier was good as well. Can't say more without ruining the film.

One of the best Bond films

    by flaacke

I saw the first one as a college student. Now as a "senior" I believe I've seen the best. Great stunts, especially the chase, and wonderful scenes of China and Macau. I was in both countries in the late 70's and can not believe the changes. This was a nostalgic movie for me on several fronts. Overall, my wife and I loved it and will see it again on DVD.

    Best Bond ever

my favorite Bond ever made. it has everything expected to be seen in a Bond movie but one suprize that i didnt see comming. if you havent seen this movie yet turn off your computer get in your car and whatch it. although the only thing i didnt like is that there was a little vioolent images that are really disgusting so i would not take anyone under the age of maybe 11. the movie sort of drags between the middle and end but the end was spectacular plus you see an old friend from the Bond films. the ending was a little sad but had a very good feal for the reaction of the scene. the begining credits take forever plus the adele song is playing so if you dont like adele thats a good time to go to the bathroom and get popcorn. i hoped this helped in your desition on going to see this movie or not.

    James Bond is BACK!

James Bond is back, SKYFALL is by far the best of the Daniel Craig versions of '007' and one of the best Bond films ever. Gone is the "Jason Bourne" type Bond of the last two films and back is the more traditional James Bond 007 we grew up with. This time they finally got it right and I'm looking forward to the next one.

    Skyfall

    by Elodie

Enjoy it until the last 30 minutes. I found ridiculous the end which last 30 minutes and is in between of sentimentalism and action and none of them. That s really too bad, otherwise it would have been a masterpiece.

    Loved Skyfall

I thought that it was a great film. I loved how it gave a little more of a background of Bond's life when he was younger. I love Dame Judi Dench! I thought the movie was well written and well worth the wait! I can't wait until the next Bond film!

    Best Bond so far

    by gebhard

Great mix between the "new" Bond and the "old" story. Very well played and in the end brings back some of the original "classics", Miss Moneypenny, "M" is male again .........

    Skyfall ROCKS.

Best Bond film ever. Honestly, I'm a big Bond fan. Nothing compares to the original Connery films, of course. But the Bond films sort of lost their way, and now they've found their path.

Skyfall strips the over-the-top Brosnan Bond back to basics... leaving a couple of simple gadgets, no over-the-top pithy dialogue, a good story/character development. This movie has pacing, acting, emotion, great action and great music. If you can only be satisfied by Michael Bay films where every 5 seconds something has to explode, then go watch another movie. This is ACTUAL filmmaking here. This isn't ridiculous fight scenes like the Bourne movies. This movie is made for people that actually HAVE attention spans and actually HAVE some taste.

And for old school Bond fans, there are a couple of things tossed in there that will make you smile... some that'll make you cheer... and a couple that'll make you tear up.

Oh, and my wife likes it. And she's normally right about things.

One of the best Bond films yet!

Great chase and fight scenes as per usual, but this Bond film is centered more on story and plot development than just silly gadgets and blowing things up. Riveting from beginning to end, and Javier Bardem looks really weird and evil as a blond!

    Spy vs. Spy

The rugged James Bond is beginning to show some wear and tear. A former agent has resurfaced and is operating on a rogue agenda. M turns 007 loose to handle the issue on his own terms. The classic mix of babes, tech and violence are there. We learn something about Mr. Bond's origins in this one. Javier Bardem was evil and smarmy. Adele's rendition of the title song was fabulous. The new Q was intriguing. Ralph Fiennes is in there, as well. I give _SKYFALL_ a MUST GO! for the reboot factor, the performances, and the story line. Bond still can't score with Moneypenny.

    Skyfall's a stunner!

Amazing movie. Daniel Craig's Bond proves age is just a number, not an obstacle, when it comes to being 007 and protecting God and country. The climactic scene is every bit as stunning as you'd expect while providing an interesting background twist. Have been anticipating Skyfall for months and I wasn't disappointed!
