Skyfall: Terrific fare for Bond fans

    It's a Bond Film.

The franchise is in no danger.

It's 20 minutes too long and doesn't climax in the typical way.

Very enjoyable though. Beautifully filmed. Worth the price of admission to see it on the big screen. Much will be lost on the small screen.

The story and the villain and the girls are all adequately in place and they do their parts competently. Nothing worth more than a sentence or two in a review though.

Cinematically though, this thing is gorgeous.

The first half looks slick and slippery, beautiful in reds, golds and luminously polished hardwoods.

The second half is wind-scoured, rugged, gritty and austere - just like this Bond character. [He] is definitely the most ruggedly masculine Bond ever presented.

    4 stars out of 5.

What is next is the Question

I think if they make another Bond with this Guy, he might end of breaking the record for starring as Bond. Anyways...

This was an unexpected twist the usual Bond production style but in a small sense, it was necessary to know more about Bond before be became an agent.

Sucks that M was "Never a good Shot". Ha... line to remember.

Good movie. Looking forward to the next one.

    Worse Bond Movie

    by Wainzo

It was like watching a train wreck; terrible but you couldn't help but watch. Started off strong, lulled, then started to get interesting again, lulled, repeat again and then it just became stupid. Very disappointed

    The End of An Era

I enjoyed the film immensely, but was left with a bit of melancholy arising from end of an era with M's passing, the symbolic demolition of the 1960's Austin Martin, the "new" Q sans a new bond gadget, and the young Ms. Moneypenny offspring instead of the more mature assistant that plays better off of the aging 007. Another good Bond flick reminiscent of the 1960's core genre in spite of the inevitable aging of the actors and this viewer. I recommend it highly.

    Awesome!

One of the best James Bond movies, if not the best. Daniel Craig is the best actor for the James Bond character since he has intensity, depth and none of the silly campiness of other actors that have portrayed the spy. The weak link in the movie was the girl who played MoneyPenny - not great acting and not as attractive as you would want a "Bond girl" to be.

    Bond: Full Circle

This is a great film with a lot of great action and intense scenes. It can be a little slow in some parts but above all it is a great film. Unlike the last bond film, it is not as gritty/dark but it is classic bond. The locations are amazing and the clothing is great. This film brings the franchise back full circle with the introduction of some familiar characters from classic bond. Two thumbs up for this film and it is a must see.

    Skyfall

It was everything that expect from a James Bond movie and we all really enjoyed it. Somehow the British just know how to put these spy thrillers together and they work.

Skyfall - the fall of the double O

    by

I saw the movie last night. I thought it could not be worse than Quantum of Solace. At least they got Q back, right? I was so wrong. 2 hours and 37 minutes later after enduring numerous dark scenes, and forcefully pushing myself to like the sad sack sentimental and aging James (Lame) Bond I left the theater utterly disappointed with the after taste of "What a waste of time!". There was nothing, nothing and nothing in the movie. No balance of characters, couple of chuckles here and there on the lame humor and mostly dark sentimental scenes that were dragging f-o-r-e-v-e-r.

I was collecting Bond movies until Daniel Craig started playing in them. I do not have the last three movies. I felt I really do not need them. They are off beat. Daniel plays worse than George Lazenby, but back in that time if the movie sucked the bad actor got kicked out really quick. Now in the new age of political correctness it takes 3 failed movies to say to Daniel Craig "Dude, you really suck as James Bond"

Skyfall - One of the Best Bond films

I must say I was a little skeptical at first, I heard the reviews, everyone complaining about one thing or another, but I had to decide for myself, and I can honestly say, I was not disappointed. The plot was good, the story was well paced, and what else can I say except... It is truly Bond. This is a must see, and considering Daniel Craig is no longer going to be Bond, he gives a great farewell performance..... Two Thumbs way up!!!!

Odd Balance of old vs. new

    by

It's always tricky when milestones approach. With "Die Another Day," it was the 20th Bond film and many doffs of the cap went to images of past Bond movies. Same with Skyfall, celebrating the 50 years of 007. There was a lot of return to things past with Bond and some are hopeful that this will mean the suave Bond is back. I'm hopeful that the more "Jason Bourne" Bond is here to stay but only time will tell for sure.

Either way, it's a must see for all levels of Bond fans.

    great movie

This movie was great. One of the best bonds to date. The plot was well developed and the bad guy played the part perfectly. There was a good deal of action which brings the typical bond feeling to the movie. 5 out of 5 in my opinion.

Not a bad movie. Not as phenomenal as the critics claim. Worth the price of admission.

Skyfall is definitely worth the price of admission. In some ways, it is vintage James Bond -- suspend disbelief before you come in the door and you will be rewarded with adventure and escapism. In some ways, this Bond is smaller than life. The villain is rather small compared to previous Bond villains with a much smaller objective and no real end-game. (Yawn.) This the most "soap opera" Bond ever made. Very much a Bond for the 2010's. A reflection of the politically-correct, multi-cultural, self-absorbed times. Meh.

    Enjoyed every moment

Loved the movie. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Bond in action and I do mean action. Daniel has truly grown into the James character. Loved the build up to a true new series of Bond movies.

Shame on the franchise lack luster production. Skyfall definitely fell short for 2+hrs...was yawing and couldn't wait for it to end, soooo disappointed, shame on you! You took my $ and ran...back to the drawing board. Smh
