    go see it !

So worth the hype, best Bond in a long long time. Took my three teenage kids and they all loved it too, even being Bond newbies. Daniel Craig was dreamy (gotta say he is amazing without his shirt on) and Javier deserves an Oscar. Clever, twisting plot, keeps you guessing. If you like Bond, you will LOVE Skyfall.

    Skyfall

    by

The best Bond film yet! All the performances were over the top, you won't be sorry you went to see this film. I think I'll have to see it in IMAX as well!

    Loved It!

Some movies must been seen in the Theater to get the full effect Skyfall was one of those movies.

007 presented himself as almost human, with unmistakable frailties' that I could relate to. His nemesis was believable and I had sympathy for the broken person that I understood he was forced to become.

The opening action scene was remarkable and set the pace for the rest of the movie. I was on the edge the entire time.

    I would see it again!

    Great energy!!

This movie shows a softer side of Bond and shows him as human, not superhuman. So no super crazy stunts, but no less energy. The story also reflects the current challenges we face in addressing the growing threat of terrorism. It shows how the invincible West is vulnerable to the very technology we embrace as the solution to all of our problems and how the "old way of doing things" can be just as effective if not more so. In this way is was thought provoking and not just pure entertainment.

    Basic James Bond

    by jjknaub

It is your typical James Bond movie. Action packed, and him having his way with women. I enjoyed it, but it is deffinately a mans' movie. Go out and see it & make the decision for yourself!

Best Bond Movie Featuring Danial Craig

    by mark290

This movie was much better as a James Bond film than either of Danial Craig' previous efforts. It had all the requisite Bond feature - A believably insane villain, gadgets at just the right time, a good chase scene, exotic locations and beautiful Bond girls.

    Things I really liked:

The twists and turns along the way, especially at the end.

The throwback stuff to previous Bond films. Looks like they are setting up for a return to classic Bond.

    The things I didn't like:

Obvious product placement. I'm paying to see a movie, not an advertisement for Heineken, Audi and Sony.

Danial Craig: Don't get me wrong. I think Danial Craig is a good actor and action film star. He's just not a great James Bond. More sophistication would be good. Maybe he should replace Bruce Willis in the Die Hard franchise.

Fun romp - just don't bring your brain

    by nstuff

Fun and entertaining movie all around as long as you keep your brain turned off. Craig did a better job in this movie with owning the persona of James Bond, but his womanizing still feels forced and the script allows his "charms" to work every time when they most likely wouldn't have. Bad guy did a good job but I think could have been used a lot more. Without giving spoilers, the plot is overly complicated for the sake of it when the end result ended up making most of the complicated steps unnecessary.

I'm fine with lots of twists and turns, but at the end of the movie and I look back at what all has been done, I hate it when I have to say "why did they have to do all that when they could have done X or Y at the very beginning and be done with it?" Had no parallels that I could see from the prior Quantum of Solace movie. No resolution of some of the big plots they created there.

    Breaking More Bond Molds

    by

I was thoroughly entertained by this Bond. Daniel Craig's Bulldog Bond has taken this franchise in a fantastic direction. No more is James Bond simply a spy who cavalierly kills and conquers everything and everyone he meets. He is man who is affected by the people around him and who feels pain - physical and emotional. Oh, we're never in doubt that Bond will somehow win the day, but now it costs him something.

Javier Bardem is one of the best Bond villains ever. His choices are surprising and his skill is exceptional. Dame Judi Dench's M is a force, adroitly maneuvering around beaurocracy and concocting dirty bombs. Ralph Fiennes enters the scene as Galreth Mallery. We're never quite sure what to make of him, but I think we can be sure he'll be back. Ben Whishaw's Q is hysterical in this "nerd chic" role. Albert Finney plays Kincade with equal parts heart and vigor.

As always, a Bond film has violence and sexual themes that might not be appropriate for kids of a certain age.

    Skyfall

Spectacular shoot outs and blow-ups with smart, sly dialogue. Javier Bardem is nearly unrecognizable but delightful as the villain of villains. What's worse than a rogue agent with a mommy complex and more firepower than the hero is allowed? Oh, and he rescues then kills a woman. Quelle horreur!

Go see - it's fun and amusing enough to make up for the leaps required n the suspension of disbelief and the noisy, disruptive special effects that accompany the aforementioned shoot out, blow up, events. It's still Bond. The entirely inexplicable panty dropper, hard drinking, non-compliant super spy persona survives and he repeatedly survives certain death due to the agency of a woman half his age who melts into his bed (or arms if a bed is lacking, or up against the wall if plot requires). Supporting cast just as good as the stars and things move along briskly for the most part. Must be enjoyed at its own pace.

More story than all the past bonds combined.

    by

It's not a "perfect" movie but Skyfall is, without question, worthy of the buzz it's received. While some say it returns to Casino Royale for me it went beyond... Sure there's elements of the darkness, a continuation of the story but it's got bigger explosions, moments of more class, and a touch of Bond films long past. Throw in a couple Bourne / Patriot Games inspired moments and it's a full on story, not just a Bond show off moment.

    High energy, low camp

    by anisoj

Despite Javier Bardem's turn as bi-sexual terrorist with mommy issues, this Bond comes in low on the camp scale and high on the energy. Craig's moody Bond manages to keep things fun, once he gets going, the new additions to the team (Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whisaw) are more than just eye-candy. 50 years in, and Bond doesn't look a day over 40!

    The Skyfall is falling

Chicken Little could have written a better script. It took dread of doom without epic fallout to an all new level. The script set us up for Javier's character to be an evil beyond belief and a former double-oh super agent, Bond's match. But the depth and breadth of evil expected from Javier was lost as soon as he asked Bond for a blowjob (not kidding, and this is actually the best acted sex scene in the movie). He was scary, as damaged gay goods could be, that couldn't marry if equality laws were passed and extacy were put in the water supply. He played Mr. Evil more comically than Christopher Walken. And the barfly Bond, who seemingly grew tired of his license to kill, got over it just by sobering up. Great news for those in recovery! Best of all, you can drink again, but only a Perfect Martini. Dispute the poor quality of character development, the storyline is cohesive though somewhat stagnant. And the action as alway was sphenomenal! Worth seeing once, maybe on TV.

not the best ever, but close

The first half was better than the second, though both were good. Last scene a bit predictable but still fun to watch. Closes on a somewhat tacky note. But otherwise, a great flick. My favorites are still From Russia With Love, Thunderball, Goldfinger. Why the hot chick in this movie didn't hang around longer is a bit of a mystery. In many ways, the movie departs from James Bond movie conventions, which was mostly a good thing.

    Well done, Mr. Bond

Bond moves into the 21st century in this action thriller that pays homage to the Bond of old. Judy Dench is excellent, as always, as M; the new Q shows promise; and Javier Bardem stops just short of eating the scenery as the newest Bond villain with anunusual past. Even the theme song, written and performed by Adele, is a nod to the old Bond. A fitting 50th anniversary tribute , and a fun movie even for those not familiar with the Bond of the Codl War.
