    Skyfall

I'm a Scotsman and I've always cringed at the Roger Moore-type Bond movies. Daniel Craig has revitalized the genre but the question was always out there: will he take it to new places to the point where they lose track of the characters and set-up that made the Bond movies such cultural icons? This movie exists to reassure us as well as thrill us. I won't give a spoiler: I'll just say they even take Bond back to his roots to give us more of his backstory. They give us assurance that there will always be an M and a Q. The first Bond car even makes a reappearance. The sold out crowd in our theater oohed and aahed when they saw it, clearly delighted.

    5 out of 5. A must see.

    SKYFALL

FIVE STARS ***** This is a great action packed James Bond film. The plot keeps you more than interested. A few funny one liners too. The movie is 2 1/2 hours and goes by fast. If you have the chance to see it ...,.GO,GO,GO. It has a few surprises and one totally unexpected. Wish more movies were made like this.

    Bond Voy-Age M!

Great movie, action packed...a must see! For all Bond fans, you will want to see what happens with a flashback to the olden days. Surprise scene with "M".

More than just another Bond movie

    by Tom_UK

Sam Mendes took a cliche and repackaged to make a really entertaining movie. True there were a couple of Bond girls, a reduced number of toys and some self-mockery. But wow it made me proud to be a Brit.

Storytelling AND Action at It's Best!

By far my favorite Bond movie and my favorite Bond and I've seen them al! Sam Mendes is incredible - he should direct them all from now on - he knows who Bond is and how to reveal him on screen. Incredible, innovative action scenes; edgy cool, mysterious Bond yet a beautifully nuanced emotional performance. Did I say Craig is the best and can do it all?! And Dame Judi as M - lovely performance, so understated but true to character - so sorry to see her go but won't Ralph Fiennes be fun as M?!

I immediately wanted to watch it over again and probably will before it leaves this first run! A home run!

    Skyfall

Awesome movie and you'ld never know that you were sitting there for 2.5 hours. I loved the freshness of the story line - and it was easy to follow; it was less violent than Craig's last 2 movies; some of the chases were too similar to past movies; I loved the references to past 007 movies. We own all the 007 movies, but I'm so glad we saw this in the theatre! Definitely a MUST SEE!

A real disappointment. Probably the worst of the James Bond films I've seen and I've seen every one of them. Everyone in our family agreed, not worth the time. Too bad as we were all so excited to see this film. Hopefully tne next will go back to the standards of the franchise.

    Skyfall

Why is it better than any previous James Bond movie? The storyline is clear, the relationships are not all about sex, and they save the best action scenes until the end. Scenes are first in Istanbul and then London. The Instanbul chase scenes are a bit outrageous, but fun. Much better character development than earlier ones, and some characteristic Bond scenes that you expect..yes, he has a martini.

THE WORSE JAMES BOND MOVIE OF ALL TIMES!

Sorry but of all the leads, Daniel Craig is "NO" James Bond
Whoever wrote the script should be baned from Hollywood FOREVER!
We can debate which Bond movie was the best...
But there's no debating how bad this movie is...
Two good things worth seeing was Albert Finney (Put him in more movies with better parts) and the villian of the movie, Javier Bardem, who was great....
but not enough to carry movie...most people leaving were shaking theirs heads, including my girlfriend and me.

    Good old fashion fun

Very good action flick. In the true tradition of the James Bond movies we have been seeing for years. Nice to see a movie that is not over the top!

    the bond standard

Mr. Craig has cemented himself as one of the greatest Bonds for all times. Skyfall has stamped it's place amongst the greats in the genre's history. The cast was arguably tops ever for all Bonds with the greatest respects for the great Bonds of the past. The Bond series is hitting another stride in it's great history and is definitely in it's prime.

Sorry like my Bond guys more manly, and the plot to pursue a little old lady was just plain
ridiculous. Where are all the great cars and gadgets? I did like Ralph Fiennes though.

This latest 007 movie is characteristic of its predecessors, as is it full of action and intrigue. All of this is enhanced by superb casting, Bond girls and action. I give this a complete thumbs up.

    Great Bond Flick!

    by

One of the best Bond movies ever! The thing I like most about the Daniel Craig Bond movies is that they have a air of realism and believe-ability. Highly entertained. Good Story, Good villain, good Bond Girls!

    Excellent Bond flick!

Excellent movie - was surprised by the ending. LOVED it - he was very cool and very Bond like. Reminiscent of the Connery.
I liked the fact that it wasn't shooting people and blowing people and things up thru the whole movie..
