Skyfall was an exciting Bond Film and Craig willl Go Down as one Perhaps the Best 007

    by judae1

This film was fun, exciting and kept moving. At every turn, Daniel Craig as Bond is certainly the best Bond since Connery. The movie did not rely on high technology and gimmicks as many action films do, and it echoed the past Bond films with classic charm, wit and a darkness of the kind that makes you fear for the things we do not know about evils that exist.

Using basic, home made weapons and the flashback to the vintage Aston Martin with the eject button made it exciting and unpredictable.

Loved the film, loved the depth of the characters. Javier Bardem was the kind of psychopath that we used to love about Bond films. The story was a little weak, but that did not keep it from being played well.

The landscape shots, the desolate countryside shots, the riveting action shots all kept it interesting.

I believe Connery made the role and Pierce Brosnan was my second favorite. Daniel Craig takes that spot

More story than all the past bonds combined.

    by

It's not a "perfect" movie but Skyfall is, without question, worthy of the buzz it's received. While some say it returns to Casino Royale for me it went beyond... Sure there's elements of the darkness, a continuation of the story but it's got bigger explosions, moments of more class, and a touch of Bond films long past. Throw in a couple Bourne / Patriot Games inspired moments and it's a full on story, not just a Bond show off moment.

    sucked

Action scenes were cool but hand to hand combat was EXTREMELY fake. Plot was boring and completely idiotic and unrealistic. Also, Danial Craig sucks. The End.

    Not as Good as Expected

It was one long chase, with a bare bones plot. Too much shooting, darkness, confusion. I much preferred "Casino Royale", which had a better traditional Bond feel.

    Critics over rated it

    by flajoe

This was definitely not one of the top 5 Bonds of all time.

Javier Bardem steals the movie otherwise it would have been a total bore

    SKYFALL is Good

2.75 out of 5 Stars for me. Enjoyed it. The setting of this double notch MI6Flick is today. There is tech involved, but this is one of the most un-tech Bond movies thus far. There's even a minimum of adult oriented content. If it wasn't Bond, it would be just another story weave of intrigue, car chase and action...sorta. The producers clearly decided to get rid of anything "Old-Bond"- Skyfall is clearly new Bond and post the Ian Fleming books.

I'd say it's an interim story refit. Next one(s) will hopefully be..more within the new groove this film set up.

Some excellent tributes to "Classic Bond" -- Top notch directing

Very good movie -- though not the best Bond ever -- no one does it like Connery, in this writer's opinion. However, Daniel Craig is very good and Skyfall does not disappoint. Frequent Bond-watchers will enjoy the many "shout outs" to classic Bond and even the main villain seems right out of the 1960's era gallery of bad guys. I would have liked a little more kitschy humor -- that's always part of Bond for me. The movie is long, but not so much that you're looking at your watch -- everything moves along. The directing is certainly world class -- the sequences shot in a skyscraper in Shanghai were among the most amazing visually in any movie I've ever seen. I also loved the opening credits (strange, right?) -- they featured some really amazing animation sequences and I would pay to see more of them -- it's hard to explain until you've seen the movie.

    Great, great, great movie!

Wife and I get only a few nights out a year (2 kids at home and babysitting is expensive) so I am very pleased with this choice of date night. James Bond via Daniel Craig is great and Skyfall is another strong chapter in this mythology. The villain offers several new twists, but remains true to the bond formula. The new 'Q' offers a contemporary view. Well worth the price of admission.

Bond is BACK! Great fun all around

A great return to the Bond movies of old. Great action, wonderful crazed villain, sexy ladies without explicit sex, and tongue frequently planted firmly in cheek. I also noted homage to a number of other thriller movies, from The French Connection, to Speed, to Die Hard, to Home Alone(!!), and some very definite references to the Bond movies of old. Good for all ages.

If you're a Bond fan, you already know it's a "can't miss". If not, this could well change your mind. Go see it.

    SKYFALL

Saw this opening night. While I still consider Casino Royale, Craig's best Bond movie, this was pretty good for a Bond film. This is the movie that should have been Quantum. But better late than ever. It's a much darker Bond than previous ones. The cinematography is possibly the best of any Bond film. It's superb. The film moves at a much slower pace than you are used to so be prepared for that. I wish they showed more of the Bond women hahaha.

All in all a good film that any Bond fan should see as well as non-Bond fans.

    Skyfall

Great Movie. Daniel Craig is the best Bond Ever and yes, I am old enough to remember the others. Thought the scene with M was Very Touching, well done. Glad to see him be a full person, and not just a robotic super hero. Best Bond movie to date. Will go again to see it.

    new flavor to James Bond

    by JW59615

i was rather impressed because i went to this movie expecting the normal James Bond style movie however Skyfall seemed to have a darker thyme and dove deeper in to James' past, Skyfall also really exposed alot about the character development of James Bond of the decades.

    Skyfall

    by bclooch

This is one of the best Bond movies ever. I have some experience with Bond movies. I was around fifty years ago for the first Bond movie. Granted I"m biased toward Sean Connery but am open-minded and Daniel Craig is an excellent Bond. Regarding the story line, it was exciting to see newer technology used to solve the mystery. Also, as M, Judy Dench gives a great performance. I enjoyed learning something about Bond's formative years. A great movie that goes down in history as good as the original Bond fifty years ago. A very good action movie for most age groups.

    The hidden past of 007...

Skyfall presents Bond at a depth which he has rarely been seen. A cliffhanger opening leads to a journey into Bond's distant past where no audience has seen him. The double-O agent has encounters with varied characters from different chapters of his life. We see the return of two of Bond's closest allies "for the first time". And James puts his mettle to the test as he fights against Time's inevitable effect on his skill as a spy and a soldier. The story builds on the foundations of the early Bond films, bringing classic elements into play of style, intrigue, technology, and peril. Buckle up and hold on for the drop into Skyfall.
