    Skyfall Rocks

Classic Bond - cool, sexy and lots of action. New characters were introduced to dovetail into the earlier installments. Bardiem was an awesome twisted villian. Great movie! Definitely GO!

Not quiet up to the hype.

Offers some interesting background story on Bond and M. The acting is very good on the part of everyone. But the story unfolds a bit slowly, the action is not as riveting as a typical Daniel Craig Bond, and Javier Bardem is not as menacing as I expected.

On the other hand it is definitely one of the better Bond films. A must see for any Bond fan and a good film for just about anyone else.

Back to Basics and Well Done

    by RICVA

I've seen most of the Bond movies, read many of the books. I'm a pretty easy sell. my wife, friend and his wife all enjoyed it. Glad to have Craig as Bond. Had looked forward to Brosnan's style but didn't like the kinder, gentler Bond with politically correct undertones during the Brosnan era. Happy to see a return to a grittier, no apologies character. Having grown up with Moore, I like the gadgets. This movie was mostly gadget-less. Just smart, tough human powered. Fine with that. Also got more insight into Bond's roots and motivations. The visual imagery was beautiful at times, especially in the Asian locations. Caters to the nostalgic Bond fans. May not draw the young crowd unless they are looking for something different. I think the producers / directors knows their loyal crowd and decided not to try to please everyone. Good for them and for us boomers. The movie, like Bond, knows what it's about, get's the job done and makes no apologies.

    Skyfall

    by wougie7

Was very disappointed with the movie, I thought it was going to be a much better movie and it's just didn't do it like previous 007 movies. I am a fanatic of James Bond, I even have the entire collection of the movies, however, I'm not quite sure if I'm going to buy Skyfall for my collection.

Wait for the dvd. Not worth the theater expense.
Movie starts out pretty exciting 1st 20-30 minutes, but sizzles out quickly,
then its 2 hours of rambling slow scenes.
    Rated, Zzzzzzzzzzzzz for snooze.
007 serious can do a better job.
Acting was great. They did the best they could with what they had to work with.
    Save your hard earned money.
Not for kids 18 and under.

My first Bond in the Theatre was Live and Let Die...

I think this is the best of the Daniel Craig Bond movies. But to me it wasn't a James Bond picture. It lacked the over-the-top villain which several of the movies over the years have neglected to include. I've seen all of the bond movies, and starting from my first theater presentation with all its gadgets, company cars, beautiful women, and romancing from Bond. I'd see it again over the last two movies any time. But I'd still rate it only about 3 stars out of 5.

    Skyfall

    by

As someone who hated Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, I have to say, MGM has really hit a gold mine with Skyfall. The plot was intriguing, yet easy to follow. There was enough action to keep the viewer attentive, and their was enough humor and wit to balance it all out. One of my favorite things about the movie was that there were allusions throughout the film to movies from
"The Golden Age of Bond". If you have not already seen Skyfall and you're looking for a movie to see, Skyfall is the obvious choice.

    Entertaining - ignore the story

This was a visually stunning, well acted new Bond film. Entertaining stunts, fantastic locations, few obvious CG scenes, and great entertainment value. As soon as the action lets up you are forced to consider the story which is wafer-thin, which will make you take a deep sigh, but all the bells and whistles and explosions and chases make up for it.

Classic Bond with a bit of yawn.

Skyfall is undoubtedly a well made James Bond movie- but at times feels overbearingly sentimental and often lurches with slow paced scenes which threaten to unravel the fabric of it all. There are some really good things going on here, but at more than a few times was I also contemplating what I would have done differently.

Daniel Craig is ultimately to thank for bringing life to the old dog and we get the impression that not only will it be Craig who fills his shoes on the next outing, but that it should be. However I am still left waiting for him to recapture the essence of Casino Royale, which behind Goldfinger, may be my favorite Bond film.

No one will leave Skyfall feeling cheated or that James Bond can't deliver, although some may wonder just what it was exactly that they got.

    Skyfall

Overall excellent. Very entertaining, but some scenes were slow or could have been edited.

Use of old Bond Moive music was done well. Women were not as srong or integral as in the past. Some action scenes were teriffic.

    I miss Jaws

    by

The villain here is quite interesting but i think Bond should face a scarier dude. Also, i kinda got stressed out watching Bond get tired and rusty. I hope the next episode he get's stronger! I feel like he's about to die of old age.

    SKYFALL

Loved this movie, this is real entertainment. Action packed beginning to end. Javier and Daniel were quite a pair. Both pretty hot in their own way. Javier was crazy in this role. Judi Dench was her usual classy M. Would definitely recommend this movie at full price.

    Skyfall

    by Creatch

The opening is even more fast paced and exciting than the typical Bond film which is just an indication of how superior Skyfall is to any other Bond film. The credits, set to the excellent Adele lyrics/vocals, set up everything nicely while giving nothing away.

It's hard to go wrong with a cast as brilliant as Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, and Javier Bardem. What all three of them bring to the film is an emotional commitment. They are all, including baddy Bardem, fighting for something that matters to them.

It is terrific that the ending is expected whilst delivering several twists.

    The best Bond ever.

    Best Bond in years!!!

    by

I rate this at a 9 1/2 out of 10! The only reason I don't rate it 100% is due to the Heineken drinking. No offense but the Vodka martini shaken not stirred with a lemon twist is his signature drink. Thats like taking away the Walther PPK. And also that horrible Jaguar car!!! Uggh, gota stick with the Austin Martin!!! xD
