It was a great way to conclude the first Daniel Craig era of Bond (I'm hoping he's in more Bond films), and it did a fantastic job of "transitioning" into the next series, whatever it will be. The plot kept me fixated throughout the whole movie. There was never a dull moment, and it certainly didn't feel like 2 1/2 hours.
But aside from its having thrilling action and an interest plot, one of the things I really appreciated was the obvious throwbacks to the old Bond films. Without spoiling too much, I will say there are some elements (people, cars, and I think even a villian) from older Bond movies that reappear in this installment of the Craig series. There was even a chase scene that seemed a little cheesy for modern movies, but looking back, that may have also been a [very intentional] nod to classic Bond.
I was very impressed with this movie, and I would recommend EVERYONE who is a fan of these movies to go see it ASAP! Especially if you love the old 007 movies.
