Skyfall is Bond at his best

    by

It was the perfect mix of action and character development. Daniel Craig was excellent and Javier was the perfect evil guy who was just a little crazy. I would see this again. I think the PG-13 rating was just right. Not too much sex, but the situations are certainly for the older kids eyes.

    Good All Around

Good action throughout (not too over the top), casting was great (especially Javier Bardem as Sliva), and the plot's development and foundation for future Bond films was crafty. Sad to see Judi Dench go, but Ralph Fiennes is a welcome replacement. I have seen all the actors that have played Bond, Daniel Craig is by far the best in my opinion.

Skyfall - Good action, bad 007

    by irwinkw

Skyfall - has all the hallmarks of a good action flick - exciting chases, exploding cars and buildings, prolonged gunfights, train and car wrecks, prolonged shoot outs, great special effects and so on. But it completely lacks the hallmarks of a good James Bond flick - his urbane sophistication, clever quips, double ententre's, Q's cool gadgets, uniquely interesting bad guys, smart solutions to see
mingly impossible situations. This James Bond can't even think of anything better to do with the sexy women than to get in the shower with one. How original! The Bond sentimentality toward the end of the film and the "OK Now I'm Really Mad" scene made me want to throw something at the screen. That's NOT James Bond. If you want to see a good action flick, go see Skyfall. If you want to see a good James Bond flick, go rent Goldfinger.

One of Best ever Bond Movies

Phenomenal Movie.....I have seen ALL of the Bond movies and I can honestly say I was thoroughly entertained with this movie. It was action packed. Not as many Q gadgets but still is a MUST see for Bond fans

    Visually stunning film

    by mknova

I enjoyed the movie very much, although I am not generally a big fan of 007 movies of the action genre. There is gorgeous cinematography here, involving, of course, beautiful people and striking architecture. Daniel Craig makes an attractive and compelling secret agent, and the supporting cast is excellent. The entire storyline is highly improbable, but that is the nature of the Bond franchise. In view of all the violence and implied casual sex, this film is probably not appropriate for kids under age 15.

    Skyfall

I have been watching James Bond films since the sixties and I must say this is one of the best I have seen. Awesome locations, chase scenes, and fight scenes. You can count me as one of the doubters of Daniel Craig as 007 but after his first three films as Bond I would call him one of my favorites. Go see this one in the theater don't wait for the DVD it is that good!!

    Disappointing

    by katsh

Best word to describe the film: tedious. I do like Daniel Craig as JB but the only thing I liked about his performance in Skyfall was the cut of his suits. Liked the Soundtrack with Adele's cool and sophisticated sound... but couldn't wait for the film to be over. No double entendres, dull action scenes and lack of spectacular location cinematography(couldn't we have seen the beauty/character of Istanbul in grander detail?)

Glad to see the end of Judi Dench and can some director please cast Javier Bardem in an against-type role? He plays the same character in almost every film since his Oscar.

I was really hoping this would be good...

    Great movie!

Loved the action, the sexy scenes and the theme that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. The final scene in filmed in Scotland was over the top!

    Basic James Bond

    by jjknaub

It is your typical James Bond movie. Action packed, and him having his way with women. I enjoyed it, but it is deffinately a mans' movie. Go out and see it & make the decision for yourself!

    Skyfall

Best Bond yet. Craig owns the role in the modern era and Javier Bardem is a great villain. As usual, don't miss the first 15 minutes.

    Skyfall

Loved it! My husband & I went to see it on November 14th. So action packed & knowing Daniel Craig does most of his own stunts is unbelievable. I did cry! It was a little different from the other Bond movies, a more personal look at some of the characters. So worth seeing but not for young children.

    Best Bond since Casino Royale

Great character development, especially compared to the disjointed Quantum of Solace. Love the rawness that Danial Craig gives to the Bond character. Movie continues to give insight into both M and Bond's history. Impressive action scenes and loved the nostalgic undertones (it's the 50th anniversary of Bond films). Not quite as good as Casino Royale, but it's up there. Must see, especially after a disappointing summer movie season..

    Skyfall

    by jjorbj

Just saw it opening day - it certainly lived up to its expectations. I would have liked a little more love & sex in it - Daniel Craig is soooo sexy & its a waste of his attributes. The producers certainly spent a lot of $$ on it, like destroying several gorgeous cars, but its all part of the series. Always enjoy seeing the global locales. Don't think the new Ms. Moneypenney worked - she's attractive, but didn't see the chemistry between Bond & her. It was a little long; much of the ending could have been cut down somewhat. Javier is always an excellent villan & he didn't disappoint. Its a GO see! You will be highly entertained!

    Best Bond Film YET!

    by

Grew up as an avid Bond fan, having seen all 23 films many times. Skyfall has by far been the Bond film to truly take things to a different level. Sam Mendes does an amazing job making Bond tangible and actually showing more of his back story than any other Bond film has done. We get to see Bond's childhood home. We get to see him at his worst state and actually wonder, "how is he honestly going to succeed?" For anyone that has seen any of the previous films, you will love the added homages that pay tribute to Bond. They include the same car from Goldfinger including a scene between Bond and M speaking about the ejecting passenger seat. Also the movie leaves you in a good place - right where you would want Bond to be with the same M office from the Connery/Moore days and the intro of Moneypenny and Q back in to the story. Since Casino Royale was released, it has been interesting to see Bond's beginnings as a 00 agent. Great acting, story, and cinematography. Go see it, Bond fan or not!
