For "Oxfordians", In Particular---Not To Be Missed!
I just have one complaint about this film......I SHOULD HAVE MADE IT!! Not that the idea is a new one-----namely, that Edward de Vere,17th Earl of Oxford, is the actual writer of the plays and sonnets normally attributed to the the Stratford on Avon Shakespeare (there is AMPLE evidence to more than suggest this outside of what's presented in the film). The thing that ticks me off is that I've been telling people for years that I believe de Vere actually paid and hired Will Shakespeare as a "front" for himself as the writer. SO, SOMEONE HAS STOLEN MY IDEA. (and is profiting from it).
Rhys Ifans does a superb job as my hero, the earl. Other good performances, too.
