    Past 50 & enjoyed it

    by

I've read the 1st two books. I enjoyed catching the parts that were matched in the book. I was debating going to see the movie 'cause I've seen too many post-apocalypse senarios. Always soooo dark. Well I thought the acting was good and the pacing truly helped push the movie along. It won't let U stop & evaluate every little thing. I hope the next instalment covers the next two books. I'm reading the third "Mockingjay." It will be interesting to see what Panem turns into. Quite a comparison to ancient Rome. AND how Rome fell due to it's extravagance.

    The Hunger Games

It is a "Must Go" especially if you read the book. I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was true to the book. My kids enjoyed it and they didn't even read the book.

    HUNGER GAMES

I enjoyed both the books & the movie. I don't know how anyone who hasn't read the books could know what & why things were happening. It was violent, but not blood & guts for blood's sake.

I did not like the quick movement/shakey camera work for part of the movie. This method of camera work is sloppy and unnecessary.Trying to squeeze ideas & movement into these jerky movements is stupid.

The extravagants of the Capitol were very well shown, but not the hunger & starvation of the districts. I would recommend this, after reading the book.

    Good suspense

I really enjoyed the movie, I had heard a lot about the book and new the basic premise, so had thought I would enjoy the movie. The videography was really good, without showing a bunch of unneeded violence. I am now anvious to see the other installemtns in the future.

We all loved the Hunger games

We got our tix 5 weeks in advance, we bought shirts, & my daughter made mockingjay pins. I thought maybe the film wouldn't live up to the high expectations, since we all loved the book, but it did! It was amazing. Visually awesome, great stars, and exciting action. You could tell that the whole audience loved it. With all the hype, going to see the Hunger Games is more of an event than just seeing an ordinary movie. We enjoyed the whole spectacle!

    A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!

I saw "The Hunger Games" last night and it was fantastic. I read all three books, and I think it really followed the books well. There were some little details that they left out, but nothing really important. I think that whether or not you have read the book, GO! It was very exciting that the movie turned out like the book. It's awesome.

    Perfect book to movie translation

As a huge fan of the books, I had really high hopes for this film. I was afraid of what they might change or leave out but I have to say it was done tastefully and I agreed with every change they made for the film adaptation. The new scenes that weren't in the book were like getting to read more pages that had been left out. It helped that those new scenes were written by the autho Suzanne Collins.

If you enjoyed the book, go see the movie. If you haven't read the book, read the book, AND go see the movie. However, for the first time, I don't think it matters which you do first.

Can't wait to see the next one

I thought this was going to be action packed from the time it started, however I was mistaken, but in the end I was pleased. The movie definitely takes it time building the characters and laying the foundation, which was at first disappointing to me, but I must say well worth it when it reached the climax. I like the main character, although I wasn't too inclined to like the co-star, but the surrounding characters were great. In the end you know there is going to be a part 2, writers just leave you wondering how are they going to continue and take it a step above part 1. Can't wait to find out. GO SEE IT, you will understand what I'm talking about.

    Very Well Done!

I loved the Hunger Games movie. I had not read the book yet wondered how they would keep the tragedy of war as a message with a PG-13 rating. Seemed they would need to show more blood and guts to show the pain and suffering of war, but it was very well done. I tip my hat to the screenplay writers. The Characters are believable as is the hate and love between them. Highly recommend this movie for anyonve over 11.

    Great movie!

    by MAP-C

This was a great movie stuck very close to the book. I liked how they incorporated all the back story in to the movie. This is for the 12 and up group.

    Hunger games

This movie was great! This is a movie that I could watch over again. I think the acting was the best I seen in awhile . The time of the movie fit the clothing and make-up as well. Everyone should watch this movie.

    The Hunger Games

The book is always better! however I really liked how they did Seneca Crane's part during the games, and the special effects were awesome. Alot of it felt rushed, like Katniss' relationship with Cinna and Rue. Wish they would've spent more time on how close they get. Another silly thing I wanted was for Katniss to scream "PEETA" when she finds out they both can win. All in all I enjoyed it, I will see it again and look forward to the next two!

The Hunger Games stayed true to the book

Actually, it stayed mostly true. I'm sure they had to remove some extraneous parts in the book to keep the movie from running for 3 hours, but the core of the story is the same. I thought the acting was well performed. There were moments where camera shake seemed to be a bit much, especially following the drama that unfolds when the "Tributes" are in the arena. Aside from that, it was an excellent movie and I cannot wait for "Catching Fire."

    HUNGRY AFTER HUNGER GAMES

    by gkelsey

THIS MOVIE WAS OK BUT NOT SO GREAT AS ALL THE PRESS AND INITIAL BOX OFFICE WOULD SUGGEST. WE LIKED BOTH OF THE STARS BUT THEY ARE NOT THE GREATEST ACTORS.
