    Surprised

    by chaifan

I liked the film, and the more I think about it, I will probably like it more. I was really surprised by the story based on the previews. There were parts that I really liked, but somehow left a little disappointed. It was a lot darker than I expected from Pixar. Finding Nemo was dark and scary at times, heart-wrenchingly sad, but it was still hilarious. I don't think I would say Brave was hilarious. I do love that the story has a female lead, who is finally strong, independent, and yes, brave. She certainly doesn't need anyone to rescue her. The animation, as always, is cutting edge and amazing.

    Just saw it!

My wife and i have been waiting for this for quite some time and it definitely did not disappoint. The story was touching definitely very in line with irish tradition (my wife is irish). As always being a pixar fan it was amazing. Merida was cute and definitely brave. A must see by all.

    More Wonderful Stuff from Pixar

I took a 10 year old sports fanatic son and a princess loving 6 year old daughter. My son loved it and hopes for a sequel. My daughter asked to leave. There is a LOT of action and some of it is intense, too intense for her. There is no traditional happily ever after with a wedding and a prince as she most likely expected. I really enjoyed the humor and message and as always, the animation is brilliant.

    Great movie!!

But I do have a great gripe about your concession stand. I always loved popcorn at the movies, but the last several time I have been to the Regal the popcorn is some of the worst I have ever had. Small popped kernels and lots of hard unpopped kernels. Yeah, everyone is cutting back, but when I pay $8.00 for a bucket of popcorn, I expect it be top notch and this certainly is not. HELLO!!! Listen up CEO's or better yet, get off you high horse and try the terrible stuff, you are serving up to the public!!!

    Outstanding picture

    by

Pixar and Disney did another outstanding picture. Unlike other Disney films, this one were only about the women and their strength of character. Gave a great appreciation of the Scottish heritage and customs. I'd like to see it again!

    Good movie

We went with a family group. The 7 yr old was scared at some points, the 11, 14, 16 yr olds loved it and it kept the adults attention. The detail on screen was amazing.

    Brave

Awesome!! Both my 19 year old and my 13 year old girls loved it too. It made us cry and laugh, good story-line, surprising twist and an ending that gave us such a feel-good buzz. It was well worth the time and money spent. Loved it!!!!

    Great Fourth of July movie!

Great story and beautiful animation. My 5 year old and my 2 1/2 year old sat mesmerized. The story definitely is interesting enough for adults and a little scary for the little one near the end, but they still loved it. Wished we had seen it in 3D.

Good message, but a little too scary for little kids

    by dunn2dr

I took my 6 and 8 year olds to this with a 6-year-old friend. I thought the message about respecting parents, working through issues and being remorseful when you've been prideful were great. But the scary, loud bear scenes drove the 6-year-old friend into her mother's lap for long lengths of the film. There were also a number of sort of spooky/mystical forest and standing stone scenes. Some kids would have a hard time with that. Hope this helps some parents out there.

    Finally a strong female!

I took my 4 yr old niece to see this. Although she got the humor in some of it, I think it was a bit mature for a 4yr. old. Me, I adored it. The heroine was strong, stubborn, smart and absolutely herself. Exactly what I hope for all the wonderful girls and young women in my life. I think this would be a great movie to take a 6+yr old to see. Esp. moms and daughters. Could pave the way for some great discussions!!! Bravo!

    Great story, beautiful animation,stirring music

    by HP4Mom

This is a great movie to see with kids. My children are preteens and teens and they all loved it. The story is about two strong women (mother and daughter) who come to learn from each other and to continue to respect each other's gifts. The animation is perfect and the Scottish tunes are very uplifting.

Saw it yesterday and throughly enjoyed it. We will go back to see it again. Colors are fantastic and I cannot wait to get my hands on the music CD. We are grandparents and we went without kids and had a grand time.

    BRAVE

IT WAS CUTE AND COLORFULL ALONG WITH AMAZING CGI AND ANIMATION BEYOND BUT.......BRAVE WELL NOT SO SURE IT WAS ALL THAT " BRAVE." THE STORY LINE HAD SOME BRAVE MOMENTS BUT OVER ALL JUST A CUTE LITTLE STORY, WITH DARLING LITTLE MOMENTS OF BEARS EATTING SALMON IN NATURE AND A LITTLE RED HEAD CHASING BLUE FAIRY WIFFS IN THE FOREST. THE THREE LITTLE BROTHERS AND THEIR BEWITCHED SELVES AS THE THREE LITTLE BEARS WAS ADORABLE. WAS LIKE A GREAT CARTOON SHORT FILM. LOVED THE MUSIC AND THE KILTS. I GUESS IF YOU REACH FOR IT YOU CAN SEE A POINT OF TAKIING CHARGE OF YOUR OWN DESTINY AND PRE-ARRANGED MARRIAGES ARE NOT FOR THE PLAID WEARING, BODY PAINTED, BROGUE MUMBILING SCOTTS.......OR ANY OF US FOR THAT MATTER. THEN THERE WERE THE UNDERLYING STORIES OF NOT TO TRUST A WITCH IN WOOD CARVERS CLOTHING, AND PARENTS CAN BECOME BEARS ON OCCASION WITH ALL GOOD INTENTION. . LOL
