    Wife says Brave was great

My wife and her two gal pals went to see Brave last night and she said it was great and it made her cry. She highly recommends it... and said it was a fun movie.

    Brave

Great movie, your ratings were correct, a little old for a 6 year old, just a little scary. It is a great movie for a young pre teen and the moms, makes them appreciate for a little while

    OMG SO GOOOD

Took my 3 yr old daughter to see it. wonderful story love that its not a typical Disney love story but a story about a mother and daughter. I want to go see it again!!!!! Only thing is there are a couple startling parts but they don't really show the violence.

    Brave - Outstanding

This Movie was really good. It would of been nice to have a critique of the effect hierarchy and capitalism have over psychological well being and the pressure we experience. This movie touched the hearts of so many because it brings into the discussion about how archetypical forms in our society make us do things and play certain roles which may not fit our character. Exploring the idea of the "Lost Magic" was the conceptual thread which carried the film. My only controversial point is when the writers introduced the idea of fate. They introduced this idea of "fate" with the idea that you are not bound to "fate" but in order to change fate the character needed to complete a task. I don't understand how fate has intruded the historical context of myth, but it can lead to flat disasters in film making. This fable encompasses an adolescents rebellion against a preplanned life dogmatically instituted by a mother that is psychologically bound between the pressures of society and heart

    Nice Graphics

But not worth what I paid to see it. Besides, the movie theatre was packed and I could not find a seat so I had to sit on the stairs. I am rethinking ever going to Regal on Court Street in Brooklyn. It doesn't do to pay $14.00 for a movie and to have to sit on the stairs through the whole thing..

    Brave is Pixar

It is not surprising that Brave has amazingly realistic animation, from Merida's hair to the pastoral scenes. The story moves well, and is age appropriate. Very entertaining.

    Better than expected

I didn't really think I was going to like this movie, however walked away very happy. Not only was this movie good, it was very funny as well. My seven year old wants to see it again and I will have no problem taking him.

    Another Disney Hit

    by CZLady1

Brave was a wonderful movie. All the criticisms I read before it was released were dispelled after seeing the movie. It is a wonderful movie teaching we should LISTEN to each other!

    Archery Lessons Not Included

Absolutely loved this movie and hoping to purchase for home viewing once it comes out. My daughter now wants archery lessons to shoot a bow and arrow like Merida. Awesome animation and a great story line. Even my 4 year old was glued to the screen and made sure we all knew the morale to the story when it was over.

    BRAVE

    by tjwiss

Took the family to see Brave. We all really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was excellent.!!! I kind of wished they could have done something a little different than having the Mom turn into a Bear. Kinda reminded me a little of Brother Bear. But was still a really good movie!!!! We will definitely be buying it when it comes out on DVD.

    Brave

This movie was nothing like I expected! It was funny, endearing, had a great message, made me want to cry at the end but turned around to be very endearing and my made heart happy.

    Brave

The animation in this movie was incredible.
The detail in Merida's hair and scenery was unlike any other computer animated movie Pixar has done!
The story line reminded me of Brother Bear (with added intensity), but regardless it was a fantastic movie!

    Awesome!

This movie was classic Disney-Pixar. Plenty of twists, laughs and battles. The classic "mom is smart dad is stupid daughter is awesome brothers are crazy" family but set in middle age Scotland. The accents are spot on. A few things they could have left out, mostly stupid stuff. A few "moonings" from guys in kilts, and a key hidden in a bosom that had to be retreived. A few shocks with the large bear scenes, could scare little kids. Beautiful animation, great action, and strong characters. I would highly recommend for any age!

    Not Pixar's Best

    by

If this had been by any other company I probably would have scored it higher. Brave is beautiful, the animate is fantastic, but the story...meh. I was waiting for that great Pixar ending, and it fell flat. Sure the princess saved her mother and brothers, but it could have been done in a much smarter way.

No true love. No real redemption for the "evil king" who destroyed his kingdom. The witch only shows up once. It was sad that such a beautifully animated film falls flat due to overly simplified storytelling.

    Brave

I really enjoyed the family time I spent watching this movie with my 20 year old daughter and my 12 year old son. Both loved Disney Movies! This is right up there with Lion King 1 1/2 . I like the other Lion Kings but 1 1/2 was the best one. The color and action in Brave was really good. Also the music!
