    Help support my brother!

My brother works at Pixar so you should see this movie so he can afford to feed his kids! Even if he didn't work there, you should still see this movie because it is really good. Pixar never disappoints and this is just another example. Do it and you will feel good! And my brother and his kids will thank you!

    BRAVE

Great kids of all ages movie, especially girls. Was as many older adults, with no kids, me included. Disney fans never fade away. Great life lessons for young and old alike. Had a few tears myself, but enjoyed it immensely.
GOOD JOB DISNEY/PIXAR? FIVE STARS FROM ME.

    A well-down swashbuckler with a feminine twist.

Forget the incessant hype that gave away half the movie. Just go and enjoy a rollicking good time. First rate animation, good sense of humor. Loved Billy Connolly as the Bear King. Bit scary at times for very small children, but a lot of fun.

Congrats on a Great Collaboration but a little shocking for the kids -

Disney and Pixar should be congratulated on a great pic and wonderful advances in animation - The technology and work behind the hair must be incredible! The story line was exciting for most but it could have been developed a bit more in some areas such as the back story on the four princes and the witch's interaction with the kingdoms. Finally, PARENTS BE ADVISED - There are some scenes that involve the evil bear that are pretty severe in the scarey category! It's not a reason to stay away just be prepared for the intensity of the moments in the film and how your kid might reach. Enjoy and overall great movie that really hits the mark on something attractive to all ages for a family night at the movie!

Great movie with good story line

    by

My four daughters loved it. It is a good movie for moms and daughters with constant action, laughs, and a unique moral for both moms and daughters.

    Fun for the family

Parts of the story have been seen before, but it was still a fun story. Although it was my 8 year old daughter who wanted to go, even my teenage on enjoyed it.

Sadly, Pixar is in a rut

This was much more a Disney film than a Pixar film. While the animation was beautiful, there was nothing original or daring about the script. It was your standard kiddie film with a happy ending and very little imagination along the way.

I think of the long, beautiful opening of Wall-E or the montage in Up or the terrifying and beautiful moment when the toys almost went into the incinerator in Toy Story 3, and that makes this film look all the more weak in comparison.

My twin 9-year olds certainly enjoyed it, but in the same "thanks for some killing some time" way they enjoyed Ice Age, for instance. I can tell when they're blown away, moved, inspired -- this film didn't do it.

Kids can handle so much more than Disney offers them these days, and Pixar used to be the antidote. Time to go rent some Miyazaki films again.

    Wonderful

Beautiful story, great lesson for both girls and boys. Do the other viewers a break and leave children that can't sit for 2 hours at home.

Brave was a fun and gorgeous movie in its own right, but seemed to fall flat.

When I first heard that Pixar was finally making a movie with a female protagonist, I was really excited. But I?ve been anticipating this movie for such a long time, I think I might have hyped it too much in my head.

The animation is, of course, wonderful as always. The scenery is breathtaking and the expression on the characters is stunning. The music was also really lovely and Julie Fowlis has an amazing voice. (I am definitely going to buy the soundtrack when I get the chance.)

However, Brave definitely wasn't the great Pixar movie I was hoping it?d be. I think a lot of it hasdto do with the fact my expectations for it were too high, but it just fell flat in its potential. I was hoping for something better, but there was hardly any conflict or build up. The climax didn't grip my attention and the ending felt forced. And asI left the movie theatres, I felt disappointed and maybe even a little cheated, because there wasn't even a message to take away from the movie.

Great Movie for Mother's and preteen daughters

I thouhgt this movie was really good, but for Mother's and their preteen daughters. I think it's a little to scary for younger kids due to the scary scene at the end. I thougth the story is well written, it's beautiful to look and it's most definatly another pixar movie that I will purchase when it comes out!

    Brave

I think this is the first time that a Disney-Pixar movie was handled by a female director. It had a very female feel. Finally this animated movie featured the poignant relationship between the princess and the queen compared to the usual princess and king relationship. It was very realistic to discuss the misunderstanding between the mother and daughter. I highly recommend this movie as a movie date for mothers and daughters.

Good effort, but falls a little short

I'll start off by saying I went to see this movie with very high expectations. Disney/Pixar usually floors me with the visuals and clever storytelling that entertains all ages. But after seeing Brave, I wouldn't say the movie was disappointing, but I definitely didn't leave with the same level of enthusiasm. I feel like the story was incomplete, as if they rushed a second draft of the screenplay into production instead of refining it into a completed script. The visuals were great, the voice cast was very well put together, but without a real, solid storyline, the whole thing gets a little wobbly. That said, I would still recommend going to see the movie because although it doesn't quite hit the high goals it was aiming for, the moive is still very good.

    Grandchildren loved it

    by

My granddaughters, ages 5 and 8, loved this movie. At the end of the movie, the 8 yr. old was teary-eyed, but not the more practical 5 yr. old. I saw the beginning and the ending, but dozed off in the middle . . . doesn't matter. I only went to take the grandkids.

    Another Classic

Great story, great characters, and a great fable! The art was breathtaking, but I admitted I was dying to run a comb through the main character's hair throughout the film! I would strongly recommend! Oh yeah, look for the eggshells.......

    Brave

Delightful! Our 7 yr. old granddaughter was thrilled with it and we are really impressed with the message of the empowerment of girls, as well as the need to break away from parental expectations and chart your own course while discovering the meaning and defining essence of love, integrity, loyalty and courage.

RBMills Finally watched Brave. What an oddly dull, uninspired Pixar offering. The animation never looked better though.
