Seriously, who are these people and what movie did they watch? Is it cool to be the only ones to not like the Dark Knight Rises? Stick to reviewing movies like Moonrise Kingdom or something like that, I'm sure you'll get a kick out of the writing. Really, if you enjoyed Batman Begins or The Dark Knight, DKR is going to right up your alley. No superhero movie can ever touch this trilogy, especially DKR, and will forever be the bar that all other superhero movies would have to be compared to.

PG-13 (no blood) but everything else

    by

PG- 13 rating is very misleading. This is not a cutesy superhero movie to sell toys and kids under 15 aren't going to understand half of the first 2 hours. Do not take your kids to this movie you are doing yourself and everyone else a genuine disservice.

    Could of waited

    by

I didn't think this was a "great" movie like everyone keeps saying. I was disappointed in the action. Anne Hathaway blew me away, but other than that, nothing made me sit up and take notice.

    Just Good

Good stuff, not great stuff! It held my attention for almost the full 2hours 45min. A few slow times, but they didn't last long. It wasn't any better then other action films that's for sure. Well done keeping the story alive and bringing back characters. Some great special effects and some good fight scenes. Also a few too long. We do not agree that it should be up for best picture.

I have no clue why anyone thinks Bane is so awesome, He is no Joker!! Many times I couldn't understand him. That was super annoying. He's creepy not as amazing as Joker. The ending was not a surprise, if you have ever been to a movie before. Don't give it that much credit, please!

I do not understand why parents think they need to bring small children to these movies. I understand they aren't full of blood and guts; but the images and volume level are not ok for children, in my opinion.

I am glad I went to an early show for the lower price and didn't do IMAX. It is worth a movie screen showing.

    Bat-astic

This was everything that I expected. The storline starts a little slow but really cranks up when The Batman shows up.( no spoiler). It does leave you wanting more and the good thing is that we will.

    Best movie of the summer

    by lx.sos.

I can't say the Dark Knight Rises rises over its predecesor, but its equally as good. It's different, darker, and a great conclusion to Nolan's trilogy. Bane is a great villain. He's just pure evil and intimidating. To compare this with other recent super hero flicks, I can say TDKR rises over the Avengers. Yes, even Marvel's entire cast cannot beat Batman. Its a better film with a better hero and a better villain. Unlike the Avengers, this movie has twists and turns and I can't predict the entire movie. Some moments in this movie are more epic than the ones in the Dark Knight. Especially when the police go to all-out war with the criminals of Gotham and Batman and Bane fight in the middle of it. I thought I'd be annoyed by Cat woman, but I actually like her. There are some surprises in this one. Honestly this is the type of movie you see in theaters. Don't see Magic Mike or something gay, SEE BATMAN, nununununununununununununu!

    Did not disappoint!

You do not need to be a follower of the trilogy to enjoy this movie. It can stand on it own. When I saw the length of the movie (2hr 44min) I was pensive BUT it was over before I knew it.

    Surprized!

The movie was better than I expected. I took two male teens(who really liked it), but I found myself getting into the movie more than I thought I would. Can't wait for the follow up.

    Action packed....

    by

The Dark Knight Rises was a very good movie. Bane was smart and a GREAT villain. Not as good as The Joker but we ALL know noone will EVER be as good as he was. In any case The Dark Knight Rises (DKR....no not Diddy Kong Racing) had me up out my seat, it had me crying, it had me laughing, it kept me moving. I had a MIGRAINE before the movie and I STILL sat through the whole 2+ hours cause its worth it and it did NOT dissapoint. Cant wait til its released on DVD to go right next to The Dark Knight.

Absolutely amazing movie with the perfect ending!!

I have absolutely no complaints about the movie. There was never a problem with understanding Bane's voice as other reviewers seem to be stating. Christian Bale is once again the best Batman of all time, and the storyline was perfectly woven. I can't think of a better ending than Christopher Nolan's flawless masterpiece.

    Why so serious?

    by

What happens when you like the story but not the story telling? How does a movie that seems so long feel so rushed?

Batman begins was good. Dark night was incredible. I wanted to love this movie and there are things to love in it, but ultimately it just doesn't live up to the hypemir it's history. No spoilers here. Take my advice, Netflix this one.

Have not seen a good movie in awhile (Besides the Avengers). This movie is a must see. You get your moneys worth. I am very cautious in what I spend my money on (Regarding enttainment)... And this was worth it. Great movie Warner Bros!!!!! Cant wait to own it on Blue-Ray!

    AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    by Shawncb

Of course it was amazing. They had to top Dark Night... and they did.
Little slow in the beginning for some, but I like how it built the story, to me it just made the climax that much more epic. LOVED IT

One of the best movies I have seen!

I had been waiting for this film a long time. The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all time, and I was excited to hear that Chris Nolan was a making one more to complete the trilogy. The Dark Knight Rises is the not only the best film I have seen this year, but also the best one I've seen since The Dark Knight came out in 2008. It does have some flaws that keep it from being better than the Dark Knight, but it is still a stunning conclusion to one of my favorite trilogies. The cast is perfect. Christian Bale delivers his best performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Tom Hardy makes Bane a terrifying villian and I can't think of anyone who could play as Bane as well as he does. Anne Hathaway steals the show and is the best Catwoman yet. Joseph Gordon Levitt is also solid along with Marion Cottilard. The returning castmembers Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman are at their best. The action is breathtaking, the story is emotionally gripping, and it all leads up to a great ending.

    Dark Knight Rises

    by

Each new rendering of the Batman character becomes more fascinating. He has evolved from a cartoon, to a real action hero and, at last he has become a dark icon. Not for small children.
