    Fitting ending to the series

Nice ending to the Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale Batman series. However, I have to say, I thought Anne Hathaway stole the show as Cat Woman. She was sensitive, clever, conniving, witty and all sorts of good. The story was very good, however a little plodding at times. That being said however, the story was built well with plenty of twists and turns. Not as much action as in the past two movies, but that was okay. Tom Hardy was okay as Bane. He was a little wooden in the character (maybe that's how the comic character was supposed to be?). I also liked Joseph Gordon Levitt's character as a police officer trying to do good as the average citizen. Overall I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

    Christopher Nolan you GENIUS!

Absolutely stupendous movie. The writing was tip-top, the story was riveting, and it was so brilliantly casted. The acting was truly magnificent. I loved every aspect of this movie. It's a definite must go!

    Dark Knight Surprises.

    by GJbkkpr

Plenty of action. A little bit long & the scenes seemed a bit chopped up. Anne Hathaway as Catwoman didn't disappoint...a total change from her usual roles! Nice to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a substantial movie role (remember him from "Third Rock From the Sun"?). Go if only to see the surprise ending!

    Rip off

    by msansom

I loved the Batman films up until now. This one was 2 1/2 hours of gratuitous violence, awful sound, undeveloped characters, one-dimensional and frankly annoying acting (Why couldn't you die, Commissioner Gordon?), boring and hard-to-follow plot, and a complete lack of direction and editing. There was one (one!) memorable line. Even the special effects were (yawn) lame. I couldn't wait for this movie to just. be. over. I think the people making this moving felt the same way.

Very good but no Dark Knight

Great acting by a terrific cast, beautifully shot. Runs long and frankly, I wanted to see more Batman punching and such. Very, very good overall though.

    Dark Night Rises

    by ndlept7

If your a fan, your in for a great ride. It will a Knight worth remembering.

The movie stalled at one point and could have been a20 minutes shorter. Thed producers missed the boat with the football scenes. First, it that was a team from NY, there would not have been one single empty seat. The wide shotes shoes a sparce amout of people in the stands. When H. Ward caught the ball and was running down the field, the shots of people inot in the stands didn't make any sense. At the end when he looked backed and saw the hole in the middle of the field, it showed the stands half empty and that just doesn;t happend in NY or gotham.

    Perfect ending!

I think this was one of the best series finales,I have ever seen.It had action, twists and emotion.Harry Potter series,Lord of the Rings,Star Wars,etc..All had very good endings. Some were limited by the source material, they ended the way the books were written. Some were anti-climactic(Return of the King),some left questions, and some were just too mushy. This was perfect.Nolan brought the whole series together with a nice bow.I will be seeing it again, and again. My prayers to those in Colorado.

    Epic

This movie delivers on all points, it has a great plot and keeps you on edge throughout the entire movie. Wow is all my date and I could say, we were simply blown away with all the action and just the movie itself. It was epic and a great movie that I highly recommend to all.

Couldn't tell it was almost 3hrs

Saw this movie 3 times and it gets better every time. It is a complete movie that has a great story and may be a little slow for those who just want comic book action, but that isn't Batman. The movie had a good mix of action, drama and was a good ride and the ending blew my mind. Bane was a horrifying character and comes close to the great Joker but a tad short because you can't understand him at times which is my only gripe about this movie. Definitely go see it.

Dark Knight Rises: Great Ending to an Even Greater Series!!

For 2 years, from the moment that I heard they were making this movie, I had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this film. The movie itself is full of many pace changes, referencing previous movie scenes from 1 & 2, and tying in the best way to connect all sequences together. While Bruce was out of commission for 7 years, you only see the last part of his struggle to return to the suit. Catwoman, played by Anne Hathaway (one of my fave actresses) did well in this role, as she wasn't a sultry kitten, but an empowered woman with an agenda. Bane, by Tom Hardy, was beyond surprising as his physique was amped and his story line was interesting. Christian Bale amazed as always. Some storylines were less than stellar, but one stood out with Det. Blake, by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and became my fave storyline to follow. By far, through all of it, intense as it was, the ending was the BEST part and I'm still processing it all. It was so moving, and yes, I teared up. I adored this film! A++++

    Everyone go see this movie!

This was absolutely the best movie I've seen in a while! There's been a lot of bad press about this movie and it is all clearly from people who haven't seen the movie and are making assumptions that simply aren't true. I am going to go see this movie at least two more times while it's in theater...and I never do that. The whole plot line was amazing and the ending couldn't be more perfect! You'll regret not going to see this fantastic movie! Christian Bale has done it yet again....so happy!

    The Dark Knight Rises satisfies

I had a range of expectations going into this film. I wanted to be careful to not evaluate it in reference to the previous two films, but to judge it on its own merits.

I left the theater with these three adjectives in mind: unique, unexpected, and satisfying. I say unique because while elements of the prior films came up, it really was just a different type of action flick in many ways. I say unexpected because the plot included a number of surprises--of the good sort. Finally, I say satisfying because it brought the story to a close in a way that was appealing.

    On a scale of 1-5, I give it a 4.5.

Excellent conclusion to a great trilogy

    by

This movie was excellent. Definitely follows in the same vain as the prior 2 movies. Full of action and we see a different side to Bruce Wayne that has so far not been touched.
