    Simply the BEST!

Finally a great trilogy! Chris Nolan topped him self and in a big way. It completely blew away all my expectations and I had high expectations. I won't spoil anything, so I will just say, if there is any superhero movie, or any action movie that has a deeply involved and carefully written story and action that blows minds, please show it to me, because this movie has the perfect blend of action, drama, suspense, comedy and romance. I never thought I would be so pumped to see the action scenes, tear up when things got dramatic, feel so much love for a character and relate so much to a story. Christopher Nolan is just an artist. One of the greatest movies of all time, probably the greatest in my opinion. It is even better when you watch the two previous movies and then watch Rises. It brings things full circle and its a perfect ending to a beautiful story.

3 hours of *** numbing awful

Good heavens this was bad bad bad bad. Rarely am i so affected by the awfulness of a movie that I feel cheated and want my money back, but that's how I felt after this pile of flaming guano. Half an hour in, I thought, I should just leave but perhaps it just has a slow build to a big payoff later. An hour in, I think my snoring disturbed the person next to me and I had to be jarred awake. 2 hours in, I began pondering how to find Christopher Nolan's house, so I could set it on fire.

    Genius

I love how Christopher Nolan portrays his characters in such a realistic way. I have been waiting four years for this film and was not dissappointed. Christian Bale is amazing as Batman and I love the way you can actually relate to the billionaire philanthropist that moonlights as the one and only Batman. Totally worth the time to see it!

    Bat Man

Really good movie, eventhough I think in some parts, it was the weaker of the 3 but wonderful,. Had a little hard time understanding Bain, I loved the expression in his eyes. I love the full rich cast from probably 20 years of movie viewing. I loved Anne who had a spunkiness to the role! The ending was a great roller coaster ride that never disappointed.

Duller than a 20 year old Ginzu knife.

I suppose there was some action in this flick which was darker than a 10 watt bulb. The villains seem to have come from Bad Guys R Us, with the chief one in serious need of orthodontia and elocution lessons. The prison from which the bad guys escaped looked like a K Mart version of the one in "Midnight Express". The change in my truck's ashtray made more sense than whatever was going on on-screen and highly caffeinated soft drinks kept me awake. To paraphrase Ambrose Bierce, the beginning and end of this flick are too far apart.

Batman is still the franchise to beat

    by

I am used to Batman movies that aren't kind of silly with the last three installments. The Dark Knight Rises hits the ground running and keeps your attention during the entire movie. There are some nice surprises that had the theater clapping during the film. Always nice to have audience participation. I'll see it again and buy it when it is released.

Freakin' awesome end to a epic trilogy.

    by

A lot of twist and turns that made for an awesome movie going experience. The ending of the this movie could be compared to the end of the batman arkham city game ending. With a lie of some thats not supposed to be in it from everyone involved made it pretty exciting to see. This is not a movie for people who want to analyse the movie, this is for pure entertainment.

Watching Batman fly threw my home town!! EPIC!!!

    by

Batman was truly epic!!! I was covering my eyes and biting my nails and making noises, and crying through the whole movie!!! Not to mention the whole last 30-60 minutes was ALL filmed in Pittsburgh, PA! Which is where I live!!!! So THAT was a bonus point for me!!!

The first hour or so of the movie can be boring if you've seen the movie already, but the rest of the movie is awesome no matter how many times you see it!

I def. recommend the movie to everyone!!!!

    Wowza! Go see this!

    by LMarieW

I had heard all the hype, but wasn't sure it would be worth it...but I was wrong. From the intense opening scene with that CRAZY plane heist to the tender hearted end with the raising of the glasses in acknowledgment, this movie was one of the best endings of an era. Anne Hathaway was fabulous and a wonderful surprise as I never pictured her as the feisty, sexy Catwoman. Christian Bale portrayed a phenomenal guilt ridden Bruce Wayne and I fell in love with him all over again. I will miss this superhero on the big screen but I am looking forward to seeing what Christopher Nolan comes up with next!

Less action, more drama than before

    by ceb1970

Enjoyed the film for what it was, which was less action and more drama than the previous movies in the series. Batman's angst and inner turmoil were palpable.

BEST END OF A TRILOGY EVER

Kudos to Chris Nolan and company for this great ending to the batman vision. This film had everything: tear-jerking drama, gut-busting comedy, failure, redemption, hope, despair, etc
It served as an superb follow-up to the previous two films, of course, tying in key elements from those films. It is wonderful to see how villains (and heroes alike) explore their humanity by realistic means despite the fantasy of billionaire vigilantes and psychopaths with permanent smile scars. The way Nolan/writers incorporate the human element, especially in villains, is pure genius, especially since it appeals to the average movie-goer, not just comic book maven, like myself. After all, it is our actions that determine who were are, not our names. But then to subtly include key comic book elements - greatly appreciated!
The acting was terrific. Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt took there acting to another level. Bale dials it down in great fashion. Hardy was refreshing. Cain was great.

    This is a Super-Hero Movie!!!!

Continues where The Dark Knight left off and goes further. Does it copy off of a formula that the Dark Knight set? Yes, but in the best possible sense of the form. Brilliant acting all around, great plot and just enough twists to keep traditional comic book fans satisfied without losing the casual audience who isn't a comic-book nerd. A++ in my opinion.
