    Drawn out dissapointment

Overall Dark Knight Rises is a decent movie, I give it a 7.5 out of 10. That being said, it does contain a lot of flaws. First off Bane isnt supposed to be an eloquent charismatic terrorist. He's supposed to be a 7 ft. tall 500lbs beast. The accent that Tom Hardy uses during the movie is down right humorous at times. My only other gripe with this flick is that Christopher Nolan needs to learn that a movie doesnt need to be 2 hrs and 45 minutes long to tell your story. There were times where I almost fell asleep, due to the plot dragging unnecessarily. The movie does have a few positives. Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt preform phenomenally in there supporting roles, The special effects and technology are also great. If you ever read the Batman comics you will see every plot twist that comes at you. This is easily the worst Batman movie for the trilogy.

    Best Batman yet

My wife and I took my nephew to see it and we all loved it. Great action, great story, great acting (including Catwoman...the suit was very hot). This is not the best action movie of the year and is definitely not the best super hero movie of all time but it is definitely the best Batman movie I've ever seen. Two thumbs up!

    The Dark Knight Lives On.

A tail of heroism at a grand scale, great characters, great storyline, great locations, great... You get my point?!
A plot which at its core, teaches us about self sacrifice for the greater good, it teaches us to believe in something bigger than ourselves and that in the end, no matter how tough the challenge, if you do what's right, good will always triumph.
Sometimes being a hero, is not what we want or asked for, fate will never call at a time of our choosing but that's were the hero within us will shine and rise from the darkness.
A must see for the whole family.

    Long slog but not bad

Be prepared to sit for 3 1/2 hours. You'll have to get there early to find a seat, and they do extra previews because they know a lot of people will be there. The movie itself is way too long and 45 minutes could have been taken out with no problem. The handful of very entertaining moments are appreciated after long stretches of boredom with wooden, predictable dialogue and pandering to certain types of viewers. Absolute goofy decision to make the main antagonist speak into a coffee can for 3 hrs. Viewers miss large chunks of dialogue because of the coffee can voice and the bombastic music. If that's not bad enough, Coffee Can gets on the PA at a football stadium -- a laughable situation where the people in the stands would be saying to each other, "Huh?" "What'd he say?" Throw in the now-mandatory 102-lb girl kicking the butts of professional male goons twice her size and you just start laughing at times. The last 20 minutes or so are very good however.

    Good rap

Nice to see the end of the trio of action packed movies. Not going to miss Mr. Bale's Batman voice. Looking forward to Joseph Gordon-Levitt's possible gig in the future.

great movie - living up to the hype!

    by

I loved it. Ok, it wasn't as amazing as the Dark Knight only because the Joker was one of the best characters I have ever seen. However, the story in Dark Knight rises is very strong. It ties in very well with the other movies, and will have you on the edge of your seat saying: "whoaaaa! did you see that?"

    Batman

Batman was much better than I expected. The overall story line and the various roles were well played whether they were the good guy or the bad ones. The movie was full of action as always, but had an added level of history of Batman and several of the roles.

TDKR...one of this year's best movies

This was a great movie from all aspects...acting, direction, editing, sepcial effects. Didn't feel like a 2:45 minute movie. You will want to clap at the end...for the flim and for those who never had chance to see the ending...

    A GREAT TRIO

    by Tussi

The Batman trilogy is one of the most Action filled, suspenseful and exciting series in a looong while.

The last input in this series had my attention on the beginning to the end. The twist and turns separated the final installment from the two pervious, however the director did a great job combining them to remind you and keep certain things relevant.

    A MUST SEE.

    Thinking about seeing it again…..

    The Dark Knight Rises...to awesomeness

Although a long movie, this movie was well worth seeing. A lot of old characters popped up in this movie as well. It wasn't until the end where things really started to heat up, but that didn't make the beginning and middle any less satisfying. The acting and cinematography was done great, the acting was great. Except for a few scenes, if you don't mind your kids seeing some violence, this really wasn't too bad of a flick on that end either. Definitely a good movie that I may even see it again before it comes to blu ray!

    Great Final Chapter

    by

The stakes got higher, the enemy stronger and the depths deeper. After Dark Knight you figured Nolan would have to come strong and large and he did. As with the Tim Burton Batman movies, the Joker is going to be the iconic character in this round of Batman movies. Still this IS the best movie of its kind since the last Batman movie..

The film has a great way of framing character and creating scripts with layers. The twists and turns of the villainy and where it goes is well thought out. The dialogue is also fantastic. I appreciated that the main villain, Bane is as much a physical giant as he is an evil genius.

Will wrap up by saying that this is just a well made movie... although there are a couple of scratch your head moments that seem out of place in such a great film. I can't mention those w/o giving up plot. Anne Hataway was great as catwoman and this was Bale's best overall performance. See it in a theater for the sound and powerful scenes of destruction.

    Favorite Trilogy ever

    by

Just got done seeing it yesterday and it was everything I imagined and more. I just love what Christopher Nolan has done with this storyline, it is by far the best Batman trilogy but also one of the best trilogys out there in movieland, in general. Definitely reccomend this, I didn't even feel it to be too long I was just sucked in and along for the ride just as I had been with Batman Begins.

    Great epic ending

    by aronnyc

It's hard to make a trilogy work and it's even harder to follow-up on the great performances we saw in The Dark Knight. While no one character was able to steal the scene the way The Joker did in TDK, comparisons like that are almost unfair. Bane is a great character in contrast. Where The Joker was anarchy, Bane was pure evil. The only slight critique is that it was slightly harder to follow and you might want to watch it twice because there were so many competing story arcs within the movie and from previous stories. Whereas TDK had one villain for most of the movie and a second one that shows up much later on, TDKR starts off with two villains. Nonetheless, there were a lot of great supporting characters, and more people from the Batman mythology appear than you'd expect.

    Exciting, creative, and outstanding effects

The Dark Knight Rises is not a movie you can sum up in a sentence or two. The plot is full of twists and turns, throwing the viewer in a tornado of mislead assumptions. I did have a tough time 'getting too into it' at first when the villains take the city in a little bit of a ridiculous manner that I viewed as over-the-top unrealistic. But after I got over that, the plot was continuously rividing and exciting. Truely got my money out of seeing this film. Strongly recommended
