    So So

    by mavram

I enjoyed the first Sherlock Holmes movie immensely, so this time I was diasappointed. The movie was too slow for me. The only positive aspects are that the movie does harbor some very funny scenes, and Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are spectacular in their roles. I just wish it was more fast paced... I kept staring at my watch to see when it would be over.

    Action-packed Bore

    by Erh5

For all of the action in this movie, the Holmes sequel was quite tedious to watch. The requirement to suspend reality for an action movie was stretched more than usual due to the far-fetched, over-the-top story. Sherlock Holmes III is not necessary and will probably be an expensive mistake.

    whatever

    by kep2002

I loved the first Sherlock Holmes, but no one seemed to bother to come up with an interesting plot for this one. The villain was boring and even Robert Downey Jr. at parts!!
Save the money and watch the first one on DVD instead.

Sherlock Holme - Game of Shadows

It was fun - more of the same actually. If you liked the last one, you will enjoy this one. Slick action (a bit too much) fun dialogue and roller coaster adventure. It could have done with a bit more of SH's investigative intellect.

    Genius

Despite the 'reduced audience' and 'sales,' this sequel is very enjoyable. It seems to pick up right where it left off in terms - Holmes still uses his intellect to anticipate events and expresse his thirst for complete knowledge while acknowledging his superiority; Watson's role has not changed much either - careful and caring, intelligent and logical. Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr. share the silver screen with much chemistry and talent, not unlike the first Sherlock Holmes movie.

I expect word of mouth to spread quickly with positive reviews and "A Game of Shadows" will be playing as a box office hit for the weeks its out.

    Sherlock Holmes 2

    by WWS2

Actually traveled over an hour to find a theatre still showing it. Glad we did go see it on the big screen instead of waiting for the DVD.
As like the first, very entertaining-riveting in fact, with having to make you think not just sit back and relax. Seemed slow in the beginning, but later you find out that it was all laying the foundation for scenes later in the movie.

    Great film!

Lot's of action, even faster paced than before. Spectacular cinematography and locations. The castle with the waterfall in Switzerland is the coolest! I will have to see it again to get it all as the clues come in fast too.. in additon, Downey Jr's fast accent doesnt help either although witty and cool.

    Brilliantly written and wonderfully constructed

I loved the way the characters were written and their continuity with the first film. Great writing of the plot, and everything was woven together very well. I know some people struggled with the shaky-cam feeling, but I enjoyed it and felt like I was in the action. My opinion: very well done.

    Sherlock Holmes: great movie!

    by tpugel

Excellent! Action packed, humor, follow the clues! Great job by Guy Ritchie and of course Robert Downey Jr. Really like the additional inclusion of Mrs. Watson! Love the slow action scenes and Dr. Watson's increased role in solving issues. Just a really fun movie!

This movie was very interesting to Whatch. It kelp you on edged and want to see what would happen next. As for the invisable man, that seen was very very good. Did not see him both times until he appeared on the screen. I would recomend this movie for Children over the age of 13 and above.

You HAVE to see this movie!

This was one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in a very long time. Robert Downy, Jr. and Jude Law were perfectly cast, there wasn't a minute when it wasn't action packed, and I was laughing and giggling throughout the entire movie. Everyone will love it! And it's a family movie for all ages, although I'm not sure that very young kids would "get it". But our group ranged from 25 years old to 69 years old, and all three of us loved it!

    Sherlock Holmes

I thought the Sherlock Holmes movie was fine but only that. It was over 2 hours long. There were a lot of fight scenes with special effects of slow movement which got a bit tedious for me. There was not a lot to the plot. There were only a few players and it was a good guy bad guy kind of thing. At the end it seems like Holmes is gone forever..but no..SO I guess my feeling is they are trying to have a lot of these movies based on the love people have for Sherlock Holmes but this story was not nearly as interesting or as intricate as Arthur Conan Doyle was able to weave.

    Fantastic!

The film was fantastically well written, and the acting was superb. If you liked the first one, you will love the second one. My only complaint is that it felt a little... League of Extra Ordinary Gentlemen-ish.
