Good for nostaglic fans but got tiring after awhile...

    by pgmomni

Kudos to the producers for their tribute to the original cast/act. Brought back memories for this F.A.R.T. (Fathers Against Radical Teens) but got tiresome after a while.

    Sucks as a remake

    by Gal1

REALLY! I remember watching the black and white version when I was a kid and this was actually a disappointment. Who thought it was a good idea to remake this into a movie? Yeah it had a few funny parts but when I saw the Jersey idiots, I was even more disappointed. "Jersey Shore" is one of the dumbest shows out there filled with a bunch of drinking, partying and fake boobs, so why would they put them in this movie. Don't waste your time or money. Wait for it to be on TV for FREE!

    The Three Stooges

It brought back memories of watching The Three Stooges as a kid with my sisters. I enjoy movies that don't require a lot of thinking at the end of a busy week. It had both my husband and I laughing!

If you are a stooge fan, you'll enjoy it

    by sseland

My son had some good chuckles & the little kids in the audience hooted... not exactly my sort of humor, but it was enjoyable enough. A different character-type for Jane Lynch.

    by uleij

It was mildly funny in too few parts to be titled 3 stooges. Honestly, I would have walked out of teh theater if it weren't for me paying for it already!!

    Fun for little kids

I took my daughter to this. She laughed a lot, but I didn't. I think you need to be under 10 to really enjoy this. I've seen worse though.

    the 3 Stooges

In a word, outstanding. It's hard to make a movie where there is so much expectation but this one nails it. The thing they got right was the casting, The actors that play the Stooges have the best slap stick timing since, well, the original Stooges. Even much of the supporting cast are similar to actors from the original series and they play it perfectly.

The movie is aimed at all audiences and there is plenty there for adults as well as kids. The movie is both a little racy and yet very sweet natured.

The Farrelly Brothers have made a movie that very much honors the legacy of the Stooges and yet is fresh and exciting itself. Go see this VERY FUNNY MOVIE!!!!!!!

    The Three Stooges

While I am a huge Three Stooges fan, I was skeptical going to this movie. Would they ruin a good thing? I was SO pleasantly surprised at how much I laughed! The portrayal of each Stooges was ingenious - right on the mark! From Moe's bossiness (with a tender side) to Larry's perfect yet not overdone role, to Curly, who was SO convincing as the most popular Stooge. Plus, the writing not only had many funny repeats from the 1940's shorts, but updated insults and in perfect sync. (My favorite line: Moe goes up to a large woman at a party and asks, "Hey, Jumbotron, have you seen Teddy?")

The producers gave a wonderful tribute to the boys, while making them current for the 2010s - a task that was VERY difficult to do. Adding stars like Larry David, Jennifer Hudson, Sofia Va-va-va-voom, and others added legitimacy and fun. Really, if you even remotely like the old Three Stooges, you'll enjoy this. If you are a Stooge-a-phile, you will absolutely love it! ----Sam The Kid, Chgo

    Great Tribute!

This was a great tribute to the Stooges for those of us who grew up watching the original shorts on TV, and opens up the Stooges for a new generation. It was well done and preserved the routines and music while the actors preserved the same chemistry and physical comedy.

    Decent

What can I say... No one would ever come close to topping the original Three Stooges but this movie was not bad and it did have a few chuckles. I think it should have been a little longer and coming from a teacher's point of view, they should have given the "violent" warnings for the kids to not try that at home at the beginning AND the end.

Go See it and take kid or two with you!! PLEASE!

This movies is an excellent tribute to the original classic short films but you don't have to be familiar with the original B&W short films to enjoy this movie.
The Farrally Brothers masterfully weaved classic old-time icons into a modern-day story while keeping the charatcers true to their original form. The lead characters were phenomenal as Moe, Larry & Curly and the supportng cast, especially Larry David, was great!

They kids will enjoy all the slapstick humor and the adults will enjoy all the inside jokes/puns/references and the slapstick too. There were llots of laughter throughout the movie, especially from me; and the audience even clapped at the end of the movie.

GO see it!!! You'll "SOITENLY" have a good time, NIUK, NIUK,NIUK.

    Stooges For President

With the political season in high gear and the constituency struggling to get to know their candidates, we are reminded that there are some constants in the universe by going to see The Three Stooges.

The Farrelly Brothers are probably the only people that can pull off this remake of the enduring comedy team. The movie pays proper homage to classic gags, but brings it up to date with modern twists (can you say 'Jersey Shore'?). Acknowledging the movie has a plot may be an exaggeration, but the story provides a suitable backdrop / excuse for the gags.

Took the whole family, and we haven't laughed that hard in a movie for a long time. So jump off that high horse to go and have a good time!

    Bos'n

I love the original three stooges and this movie did not disappoint me I give two thumbs up "very funny" I loved it

I thing what the makers did at the end, the show & tell that the props were not real and they should not try these stunts when they go home
