    Beautiful

This will be one of my favorites and a must have in my DVD collection. It's up there with what I consider my favorite movies of all time. I think I enjoyed it even more than my kids did. It's magical, much more so than Polar Express which had always bored me.

    Makes you believe again...

The trailers for this were enough to take my 6 year old to this one and I am glad I did. An interesting take on all the "guardians" we as kids believed in and no longer do. From Santa to the tooth fairy to the Sandman all the way to newcomer Jack Frost. If you are taking your kid to this in the hopes of a christmas themed movie you will be disappointed. Yes Santa IS in in this movie but the time line takes places after Christmas leading up to Easter. The boogieman is looking to strip the children of the world of their belief in the Guardians and its up to the Guardians to take it back. A true battle between good and evil and all the kids in the theatre (mine included) loved it. Go see it and just enjoy a great story and once again amazing animation. I highly recommend.

    An absolute must!!

    by hine76

I saw it in 3D - didn't seem to malke much difference until the snowflake at the end. But it was well worth the price. Hugh Jackman did an EGGscellent job as the Easter Bunny! Chris Pine was perfect as Jack Frost. And pay attention to the elves! If you have kids, take them! Even if you don't have kids, GO!

One of the Most Beautiful Movies I have seen in years....

The cinematography is AMAZING. I am not over fond of CG features, but my son persuaded me to go and see this one, and I loved it. I think it may be a new Holiday Classic. The story is timeless, but it also reinvents several beloved mythical characters (without giving anything away here). It's a fun romp. Kids will love it. This adult did, too.

    Pleasantly surprised

An entertaining movie for kids and adults, without all the typical, unnecessary adult humor or conversation that you see with other "kid" movies. Great for the family to see.
Kept me interested- I find myself getting rather bored at most kids movies, but not this one. Animation was great. Was action packed, without giving you a headache.
Liked the story too. Positive and fun without being corny. My husband and I both liked it as well as our 7 and 8 year olds.
Not sure a child under the age of 5 would necessarily love it. There is a creepier character in the movie that might frighten younger kids, but my kids were fine with it.

    Entertaining for 9 and up

We left our 2 year old at home for this one. knowing the themes were too advanced for a small child. It was fun and about what I was expecting.

Rise of The Guardians on Christmas Eve

Great Movie for adults and kids. As a single person on Christmas Eve it was great to hear the children laughing at parts of the movie, they seemed totally engaged and offered quite a bit of applause at the end.
For myself, Dreamworks may actually have matured beyond putting endless Hollywood in jokes in the movie ( think Shrek ). The 3D/HD animation was outstanding and the characterization was good. That each of the spirits had strengths and weaknesses was pleasantly portrayed. The underlying theme of preserving the wonder and joys of childhood as expressed in the characters sentiments was very nicely drawn over the length of the movie. Jack Frost's coming of age, so to speak, as a guardian was one of the nicest character revelations that I've seen in awhile. Also the little visual sidebar scenes of the small elves being themselves was very funny.

Go and Enjoy and listen to the kids laughter, it's worth the price of admission.

    Feel Good!

Took my 5 and 3 y/o to this yesterday. Saw some reviews that the younger kids were scared of the Boogie Man, but my little one was fine. Great messages and beautiful movie.

Rise of the Guardians is Phenominal!!

I don't go to the movies much because 9 out of 10 times the movie is just bad and I regret wasting my time and money. This was the rare 1 that I Loved!! I was completely entertained from start to finish and can't wait to buy it when it's released on DVD!!! My teens also really liked it and that's saying alot, because my teens hate everything I like!. The story was great (good vs. evil) and the graphics were outstanding. I felt like I was part of the setting! And those elves are so cute--I want one!!! I loved the how the characters (Santa, Jack Frost, Easter Bunny, Sandman and Tooth Fairy) aren't your typical cutesy renditions and how they all came together to tell the story so well. I especially liked the Sandman--so sweet but so fierce! I believe both kids and adults will enjoy Rise of the Guardians for a long time to come. I think even people that don't like animation will like this one. I just enjoyed this movie so much and hope everyone else does too!!

Awesome movie!!! Really enjoyed it! Loved all the characters and the story was terrific. Hugh Jackman was brilliant as the Easter Bunny, and Jude Law did great as Pitch. (the other people were great to) GO AND SEE THIS!!!!!

    Rise of the Guardians

Awesome movie! I took my 8 year old granddaughter to see it. Actually, She was the one who took me. She wanted to see it. I'm so glad I took her. We both enjoyed this movie. You don't have to see it with a child to enjoy it. I recommend ths movie for adults too.

    Rise of The Guardians

Excellent job by Dreamworks. Great plot and the story line moved quickly. This was the first time in a theater for my 4 year old and she along with her 8 year old brother loved it and are still talking about it today.

    Rise of the Guardians

This movie was very dark. It equated believing in Santa with preventing evil. What's up with that? I was depressed when I left the movie -- the Boogie man looked like the shooter of the school in CT. I should have taken them to see The Hobbit instead, but I was worried that The Hobbit would be too violent. I think the themes in this movie were about as dark...
