    Loved it.

Don't let the terrible marketing and nonsensical title keep you from seeing this movie. It's fun, funny, and sincere. May be a bit scary for the really little ones, but a great family flick.

    FAMILY movie

Great family movie even saw my 17yr old son laugh. The tikes will thoroughly enjoy watching the Easter Bunny being the tough Australian and Jack Frost getting the Fairies eye. Very nice flick.

    Best holiday movie from Dreamworks!

Rise of The Guardians was a great movie! It had tons of humor, action, heart and adventure! I also loved the elves! They acted a lot like the minions in Despicable Me. Overall, this movie will get you to believe in the holiday spirit!

    Fun and scary holiday fare

I wrapped up the 2012/13 holiday season by seeing Rise of the Guardians on the twelfth day of Christmas. I was not disappointed.

Rise of the Guardians is dark for a holiday tale. Most of the story takes place either at night, or underground. The antagonist, Pitch (wonderfully played by Jude Law), is out to destroy the faith of children in Santa, the Easter Bunny (not a kangaroo, as he assures us - despite the accent), the Tooth Fairy, and the Sandman. Into this conflict comes our chosen hero, Jack Frost.

Jack Frost's back story is rather sad, and there are some scenes that could be very frightening to very small children (the Night Mares were especially creepy), but in the end, all that is good, with the help of believing children, prevails. The acting here is wonderful, with a nod to Alec Baldwin for his bruising Russian Santa, and all ends on a high note. Santa's elves provide some needed comic relief and the animation is enchanting. Three and a half out of five stars.

    rise of the guardians

Great movie for the Holidays. Animation is awesome. Took my 11 year old grandson, who sat enjoying every minute of this movie. Definitely one I will purchase to add to my must have Holiday movies.

    Absolutely LOVED it

It was really good but I'm a sucker for that kind of movies. I think adults will feel like kids again and it reinforces kids imagination. I took my 4 y/o to it and although he did like it, and it wasn't too scary for him, he had trouble sitting through it all since it wasn't so cartoony.
    Good movie!

    Fun time with the kids

    by Grad456

Adequate movie with truly fun parts and good ideas. True, as others have pointed out it could've been so much more. The BEST animated movies are different things to kids and adults with adequate entertainment and depth for both. This movie is short of a "must go" in that in catering to the kids, it falls a bit short on the other end.

Great Movie for Kids & Adults

My grandson and husband loved this movie. They definitely recommend it to everyone. My granddaughter and I went to see the Twilight movie, but my grandson said we have to go see this one too and he'll come again. That's saying a lot for a 6 year old boy!

    Rise of the Guardians

    by gdykes

This was a fun movie for kids, remained appropriate throughout, and and was moving for parents since it reminds us of the wonder of being a child and helps us remember to enjoy our kid's innocence for as long as it lasts,

    Amazing!

I absolutely adored this movie! In fact, I plan on going to see it again next weekend! What a great story line too. Every character was unique in their own special way, espcially Jack Frost (who was freaking hot!) and Russian Santa was quite interesting also.

Fun for all ages - Great DVD or Blu ray buy!

This was a great movie. My 7 year old loved it. The animation was clear. The characters and colors were beautiful on the screen. My child's favorite character was Jack Frost. But, the Sandman was great. Although Sandman doesn't speak, the facial expressions tell it all. Excellent movie!!!!

    SUCH a sweet movie!

I got goosebumps NUMEROUS times watching this movie. It is SO sweet, and all of the Guardian characters are fully realized and robust. Chris Pine is absolutely wonderful as Jack, and Alec Baldwin is hilarious as Santa. Honestly, I give this movie 5 of 5 stars, and highly recommend it!

This movie was good and interesting. This movie is a combination of Easter and Christmas. This movie was about Jack Frost becoming a guardian. Enjoyed this movie.

    Good Show

I have an 8 year old, 4 and 3 year old. My older child really liked it, as did I, and although my younger children liked it - there were some intense scenes that made them nervous and they ended up on my lap. It was very well done and magical. I enjoyed a different take on the holiday movies.

Solid movie, laughed a lot, neat twist on old tales

The story of how Jack Frost became real and a guardian of children. This is a Jack Frost that you can see having fun with kids and protecting them, even if he doesn't know it. The other Guardians are unique, my favorite was the Sandman. When the evil Boogeyman tries to crush the spirit of fun, happiness and wonder in children, the Guardians step up to keep giving kids reasons to believe. It doesn't always work out and the Guardians lose some battle but win the war. The kids in the movie theater seemed to not understand who the bad guy was and what he was doing, I know I laughed out loud more than they did. I enjoyed it enough to look forward to buying it.
