Charming New Look at Beloved Childhood Icons

    by Mehlsky

This movie offers a completely new take on familiar children's figures..a tattooed Russian Santa Claus; a six-feet-one, lean Australian tough guy Easter Bunny, a feathered humming bird Tooth Fairy, among others. Eye popping animation and an endearing theme of belief and self-discovery. Very young children might be frightened by some images, but anyone over the age of about 6 should enjoy the fantasy and charm of the picture. Alec Baldwin is a standout as the voice of Santa, bigger than life.

    watch test

    by

My friends & I have a test to see how good or bad a movie was by how many times you look at your watch or look around. For the most of it I was glued to the screen. But the middle tried too hard to pull at the heart strings not allowing it to come naturally. The effects was soo good that it was hard at time to know your watching a cartoon movie. The Action was very well done. As much as the Jack Story was the key to the movie I think it could have been less, & spread around the story a bite more. Over all not a bad movie, I might even pick up a copy on Blue-ray maybe, just maybe.
    Action A+
    Story C almost a C-
Comedy C one really funny part for the most not a funny movie or try to be one.
    Effects A+

    Heartfelt Holiday Film

This the the type of movie that takes you back to your childhood and reminds you of the magic of the holidays. It has great characters and unfolds an enjoyable adventure. It leaves you with that wonderful warm fuzzy feeling that is like the wonder you felt on Christmas Eve hoping to get a glimpse of Santa before you fell asleep.

Best Christmas movie since the Santa clause

    by tnecvol

Beautiful animation. Great story, fun characters, especially Jack Frost and the Easter Bunny. My 6 year old grand twins said it was the best Chrstmas movie ever. Will buy it on DVD.

    Heartwarmingly Great

I just seen the movie and thought it was great. I took my son with me and he actually sat through the majority of it since he tends to peek in on the people sitting in front of us. lol - This is a heartwarming film that is a joy to watch. A movie for all ages. A change from the blasts, explosions, and gunfire. While the humor in it is slightly limited, the elves and the Yetis fills that small gap. In addition to the wonder and magic mixed with the everyone's childhood characters (with a twist), overall, it was great movie. Even if I didn't have my son, I would have definitely gone to see it. If you haven't gone and seen it yet, go. You will definitely enjoy it.

    Rise of the Guardians

Action-packed, Pee Wee! A great show for the lads, that keeps moving and modernizes Father Christmas and the rest, to remind us why they're so cool.

    Rise of the Guardians

What a great movie! Something for kids of all ages, and adults as well. A twist on all of the "myths" we grew up with. Definitely recommend!

    Decent Story, Family Friendly

    by

Wasn't sure what to think of this going into it, but was surprised by a decent and creative story. Me and my 9 year old son were pretty pleased with the flick.

    Rise of the Guardians

All 3 grandsons were transfixed from the very beginning of this movie; (2 ten-year olds and a 6 yr). Although the basic concept may have been lost on the 6 year old, he enjoyed the outrageously beautiful artwork and fast action. Theatre was packed, volume was LOUD, but nobody left or cried! We went on opening day - earliest showtime. The children in your life will love this movie - I will buy it when it's available!

    Really cute movie!

I want a Yeti and a Sandman! The characters in this story were charming and the storyline was terrific! I highly recommend this movie for any kid or adult over 5.

    Get to this show!

    by

We took our five year old grandson and his parents. We all had a magical time. The movie helps us remember the wonder, magic, playfulness, innocence, and courage we possess in childhood. We will go again and will buy the Blu-Ray when it is released.

Can't wait to see it again.

    by

This movie is wonderful. I can't wait to add it in to my Christmas movies collection. Even though the movie takes place around Easter. The theme of the movie is wonderful for Christmas. The action is great for younger kids, but the theme, and beliefs the movie trys to bring acrossed is more for older children. There is also some great humor for adults as well. My favorite characters has to be Santa's yetis, and Sandman.
