    Great story and characters

Our 5- and 8- year old grandsons loved this movie. It really engaged them. Actually, the grandparents loved it also.We loved the way the "guardians" were portrayed and the grandchildren had no problems nor questions about how Santa, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Sandman were portrayed. They really liked Jack Frost. Take your children and grandchildren to see it. It is worth the time and money.

    Not a Christmas movie

The sub-plot about Jack Frost was sweet but the threat/villian was not well defined; the Russian santa was a little outside the typical tradition most American children would be accustomed to re Santa Claus and I was under the missimpression that this would be at least somewhat related to Christmas which it was not. It kept my 6 year old's attention but she didnt have much to say about it - nice imagery but not very cohesive.

    Rise of the Guardens Rises

    by THOM2

Rise of the Guardians is a great family movie. The acting is amazing with a good plot. It has a heart warming lesson for children, a wonderful score for music lovers, and some nice action scenes for anyone. It's the Avengers for children.

    Rise of the Guardians

Action-packed, Pee Wee! A great show for the lads, that keeps moving and modernizes Father Christmas and the rest, to remind us why they're so cool.

    Amazing movie.

I absolutely loved this movie. The animation was stunning, and the characters really come to life. I love the different takes on all our childhood heroes; it's really cool to see them all from a different perspective. The voice actors are all perfect for the characters. It's a really magical movie with a great message, and personally I think that it's perfect for all ages. I want to see it again desperately!

    Great for our family!

    by wtssm

Our family ranged from 8 to 65. Everyone loved the movie. The artwork was fantastic. Does a better job of relaying the message of retaining the wonder and fun of childhood than The Polar Express. Loved the voice actors!

Can't wait to see it again.

    by

This movie is wonderful. I can't wait to add it in to my Christmas movies collection. Even though the movie takes place around Easter. The theme of the movie is wonderful for Christmas. The action is great for younger kids, but the theme, and beliefs the movie trys to bring acrossed is more for older children. There is also some great humor for adults as well. My favorite characters has to be Santa's yetis, and Sandman.

This movie was absolutely terrific. It was great for children and was enjoyable for parents. To be honest I think I enjoyed it just as much as my 4 and 6 year olds. Its a great family film.

Go, but NOT FOR LITTLE KIDS

The graphics in this movie were amazing and it was entertaining. However my seven year old daughter was terrified and had to the leave the movie. She hasn't been able to sleep for a week, and may be traumatized for a long time.

    A history of the Enlightenment

Ignore AO Scott's reading of this movie. This is a film with multiple and excellent narratives: It is a history the Enlightenment, arguably told from a secular, albeit Christian-inflected perspective, and it is also an individual's coming-of-age story within the context of larger social commitments. The films asks the viewer to consider how we construct the world based on our own fears, and in doing so, suggests that the viewer look beyond historical phobias and the often self-fulfilling fears of society.

    Amazing Movie

    by

We saw this after the holidays in digital. It's a visually beautiful movie, and I loved the overall good defeats evil theme. I really enjoyed how they showed each character: the Easter Bunny, Jack Frost, the Tooth Fairy, Sandman, and of course Santa. The elves are adorable and hysterical. My kids, 10 and 6, both enjoyed it. I would say my 6 yo daughter was a little frightened at times, but not the point of crying or clutching. It was funnier than I expected too. We are looking forward to getting this on DVD when it comes out. I think it was really a worthwhile film, for both kids and adults.

Rise of the Guardians...A MUST SEE!!!

    by sgtshiu

You don't need to watch this movie in 3D...it's fantastic all by itself! My 4 yr old daughter and I were huddled up in the theater cheering on the good guys! We almost cried and we laughed a lot! I loved this movie!
