    Fantastic movie

    by josie22

Loved the premise of the movie -undying hope in the innocence of children. The plot was deep enough for adults to enjoy and entertaining enough to keep kids interested. Definitely go see it!

    Gorgeous & fun

The graphics are amazing. The fur on the animals and the hair/beards were so real looking I wanted to touch them. Good music. Fun, not smarmy Santa played as a Russian by Alex Baldwin. Plus, you have to love a Santa who listens to Russian Classical music and shouts composer names as invectives. And the Sandman scenes are so gorgeous...just filled with light and charm. Yep. Go see it!

    Great movie for all ages

    by Clyde44

The characters were so well done and original - not what you would expect but you loved them all the more for it. And the "scary" boogey man was just the perfect level of creepy. My 4 and 7 weren't hiding during those scenes. Overall a great holiday movie that will make kids "believe again"

Great Aventure for the Whole Family

    by

It's not yur typical santa story and thank goodness for diversity and change. It is magical, funny and most of all entertaining. Like by both adults and children. Not too scary or dark as feared by some reviewers. Different but in a good way :)

    The Rise of the Guardians

Great refreshing Characters. This was enjoyable in the movie theater, and will be a must to own. This was a great story line with good against evil, and I think this will end up being one of our Holiday Classics that we will watch time and time again.

    Rise Of The Imagination

    by

?Rise Of The Guardians? is an uplifting movie revolving around how child-like wonder ties into the various holiday themes of occasions such as Christmas and Easter. Obviously, many people are going to come away with different interpretations of the movie. For me, I saw a positive message of how beliefs play a powerful role in life and that every person has a spiritual purpose to fulfill in their life (regardless of their level of popularity and/or prestige). ?Rise Of The Guardians? is a good film for those who enjoy cheerful animated movies with prevalent holiday themes.

    LOVED it!

I must admit, when I had viewed the trailer I was not very excited about seeing this movie. I had thought that the trailer had already given so much away. NOT THE CASE AT ALL. My 7 year old son was so excited to see this movie, so my husband and I sucked it up and went with my son. This movie was not just hilarious, it had a real meaning behind it which was an added bonus. The visual effects, humor and story were great for the whole family! Can't wait for the DVD so we can make this a holiday tradition.

    Rise of the Guardians

I thought this was a wonderful movie. I love stories about the idea of magic and wish that the child's belief in magic would live on into adulthood. My mom sure did and I try to keep it alive for me and my children. They can be so cynical, but then they are teenagers. Perhaps it will come back when they really see what being a grownup is like. These may be animated characters, but they and the scenery in the movie were beautiful and horrific (for the bad characters) to look at. I'd say tha this is for older children and adults, some of it will pass over the heads of smaller kids and some of it may be a little scary for the little ones.

    Great movie!

    by fva321

Ride of the Guardians is a perfectly entertaining movie for both kids and adults alike. I highly recommend watching it. The story is strongly supported by great animation, witty and funny story lines and a good plot to incorporate all characters.

    Artistry and wonder abound

I had high hopes for this film after seeing a preview and was not let down in the least. Guillermo del Toro lent a hand as a Producer and his influence can clearly be seen in the design and character structure. The Sandman is a personal favorite and I loved the behind the scenes feel of the story. I believe it will delight children and adults alike and would see it again. Go, enjoy, and believe!

Beautiful animation with a solid plot!

Most family oriented animated movies take the goofy route instead of being thoughtful and thought-provoking. "Rise of the Guardians" takes an ambitious route: a solid, well thought out plot combined with stunning visuals.

My six and seven-year-old boys loved it, they were engaged from start to finish. There was never a lull in the action nor the plot. This is a holiday must see for the entire family!

    Better than expected...

I had no interest in seeing this movie originally, but on insistence of my children, I begrudgingly went. All in all, I left the theater pleasantly surprised and happy that I saw it.

    Do yourself a favor

I feel sorry for anyone who has written a review saying this movie is so-so or a "Oh-no" because I havent seen a more magical, colorful, sweet and funny movie as Rise of the Guardians not to mention an immediate Christmas classic that will endure like Rudolp. What an amazingly special gem Dreamworks has delivered. It is delightful in every sense of the word. It has imagination in it's reinvention of the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Santa..etc..etc I mean come on..Santa is a bad*** with his arms sleeved with tattoos....the Easter Bunny is 6'1" about a solid 195lbs..The tooth fairy and her little helpers are adorable and Jack Frost and the Sandman are even more incredible. The Sandman effects are so gorgeous that I had to see the movie twice in one day. Jude Law just rips it up as villan Pitch Black whos nightmarish stallions are as amazing as everything else. Santa awesome beefed up American Muscle sleigh...I could go on but seriously, do yourself a favor and go see this movie
