A pretty good retread
by
The title of this review probably sums it up beautifully, and, not to sound too much like David Spade, I liked it just as much as when it came out earlier and was called Independence Day, War of the Worlds, Battle: Los Angeles, or Signs. You know, the space-aliens-try-to-take-over-the-world-but-are-met-with-stubborn-resistance-from-the-earthlings type of film. We've seen it before. That said, becuse of its unique portrayal of the U.S Navy being the guys who make the attempt at saving the world, I was actually impressed. Pleanty of bombs, and loud explosions. Viewers will get a very good glimpse of various naval vessels and thier massive guns in action. Boom!
I was also amused at the homage to the classic board game when the sailors used a large grid using a letter and number coordinate system to plot their kill shots. Nice one!
And if that's not enough, Rihanna was pretty cute in her film premier.
