    Amazing Spiderman is AMAZING!!

I always enjoyed the earlier editions of Spiderman with Tobey McGuire (except for the Green Goblin looking a Power Rangers villain), but this new one is fantastic!

Andrew Garfield gives a great Peter Parker VERY much like the ASM of the comics - a little cocky and funny right in the middle of his fights, even when he's losing and has lost control. Loved how they showed off his brute strength quite a bit more in this film too.
And the way the camera follows him up and down the buildings and swinging across the city - beautiful!

EVERYONE is great in their roles: Martin Sheen, Sally Field (as a younger Aunt May), Emma Stone, Denis Leary all do a great job. Great storyline tying things in with Peter's parents was well done (don't want to give too much away).

Just like I clicked above, its a MUST GO flick!

Personally, I like it better than the first series

    by

The movie is well done for a remake (in my opinion, of course). I liked the new story, it's kinda like the old but with some changes that I liked better. The characters work well together and execute the plot wonderfully. It's got a more comic-y feel than the first series. It's good, I like it better than the first and I would certainly watch the sequels.

    Amazing Indeed!

I loved the new Spider-man movie! The acting, directing, cinematography, and writing were all great! This movie is okay for kids but the storyline might be hard to follow for a child. It's a must see.

    Great reboot!

This is a great reboot for a classic superhero. The characters are more than just scenery, you can get interested in them. I am glad they are trying to stay closer to the comic book.

    The Amazing Spider-man Indeed

I will admit that I was skeptical about this movie; a die-hard fan of original Tobey Maguire, I wasn't too keen on a reboot, especially so soon. So imagine my surprise when I not only liked this movie but perhaps even loved it. This is not to say that the movie was perfect or even mind-bending. It's a superhero movie and one that's been done before so there wasn't much originality to work from. Not to mention how perfectly put-together the plot was; everything just fell into place, which was both annoying as well as implausible. What the film lacks in plot/script, it more than makes up for in acting, characterization, directing and chemistry. Whooza. Those kids really had something going; no wonder they got together after they finished shooting. This version of PP, somehow, feels more organic and true to the comics; surprisingly, I enjoyed it more than TM's. It was a good film, all round; I recommend it to anyone who needs a good action movie or just digs superhero movies.

    Like it...but not loved it.

If you are a spiderman fan and can watch anything associated to spiderman that you should watch this movie. It has some amazing action scenes. But it does have a few things that kind of leave u feeling ' wat the h***' like high school kids working in best scince lab and not only working preety much running the whole place.

    The Amazing Spider-Man Delivers

As a hardcore Spider-Man that has faithfully read many Spider-man comic books for over 30 years, watched every Spider-Man cartoon in existence, the live action series from the late 70's, etc. I know quite a bit about this character and his history. Several changes were made to not only Spidey's origin but other historic details as well. Some have had issues with this but personally I don't because I was very intrigued by the changes and the direction that they were going in.

I'm very happy with the movie. The actors delivered, the plot delivered, the special effects were absolutely stunning. There was a lot of action. There was a great love story. Basically I feel that the movie had something for everyone. This movie gets my highest possible recommendation. Go and see it immediately! True Spider-Man fans won't be disappointed!

    Loved it!

I never liked any of the previous SpiderMan movies, and even though I loved Andrew Garfield, I was hesitant about going to see this movie. However, I am certainly glad that I went. The movie was so well written and Andrew Garfield completely captures the essence of who SpiderMan is. Also, for those of you who are fans of the comic books, this definitely follows the storyline of the comic books. Emma Stone lights up the screen as Gwen and the relationship between the two of them makes any teenage girl (such as myself) quite envious. All in all I would definitely recommend anyone who loves Marvel or any other superhero movie to go see this amazing film.

    Ever yours,
    Olivia

PS: Stay after the animated credits for a special scene. But don't worry about waiting till ALL the credits finish because nothing follows them.

    Bit of a let down

The action was fantastic...when there was action. Very slow moving at the beginning, which is too bad because you show up for a movie like this ready for the action. The scenes between Peter and Gwen became long and boring, especially at the beginning. Lots of missed opportunities in this movie. Also a little too much cheese if you know what I mean.

As always it was good entertainment. There was some over the top scenes that was a bit overdone but overall you have to remember that it is just a movie. It's worth the night out.

Not half as good as the originals

    by

Ok for new comer who have never seen the other movies or read the comic books. Why would you try to improve on the Great Ones already out there? This one doesn't compare in any classification.

    Simply amazed!!

    by cgbish7

I tried to come into this movie with a neutral attitude so that I wouldn't be biased from the original movie trilogy and I can say that this movie trumped the original movies without breaking a sweat. Andrew Garfield (Spiderman) was fantastic. He showed tons of emotion and played the part of the "geek" turned hero very well. I also loved how the bad guy was made out to be very bad. Overall I think this movie ranks up there with my favorite superhero movies of all time (The Dark Knight and The Avengers). I just can't wait for the sequels to come out!

    Spiderman

    by Avemike

I took my son and his friend to the movie and they got so involved in the movie that the comments they were making in the movies got people around them chuckling. I thought for sure we will be kicked out or shhhhhhed, but we didn't. We had a fantastic and understanding crowd of folks. We all enjoyed ourselves and very entertained. The boys are still taking about how amazing spiderman movie the next morning. After the movie we had to download the new spiderman app on the itouch. Ok we will be the suckers to buy it when it comes out on video.
