Really very good~~not your usual horror flick

I heard something about this movie (but don't remember what it was).. wasn't too hyped to see it. But after perusing lots of movie reviews, and having finally read some of the reviews on it, decided to give it a try. Not quite the same old Friday the 13th/ Paranormal Activity/ slasher or ghost movie. Different ideas woven in and that made all the difference. I was smiling when I left theater.

A really fun film.

This is not a horror film in the traditional sense. It has horror elements but it really combines a lot of genres to create a memorable experience. The film plays off a lot of cliches, but it's completely intentional and all part of the fun. It's a joyride with a lot of twists and turns.

A great popcorn flick. My girlfriend who hates horror movies loved it. Go get some!

Excellent Movie

I went in knowing very little about the movie, which with this film is the best way to first see it. The movie kept my attention the whole time, the twists and turns were entertaining, and I would highly recommend it to any film goer that likes a good story.

I enjoyed it so much I texted friends afterwards telling them to go see it. There are very few movies that I would recommend so highly.

Cabin in the Woods

This is not your typical Horror film. It made me jump a few times (which is always good), say "What the hell", and even laugh. Just based on the new concept I think it's worth a trip to the theater. I would rate a 3 1/2 to 4 stars.

Wow - Is this Bad

I expected going in that this wasn't going to be Academy Award stuff - but it exceeded my already low expectations. It was silly, contrived, and even for the devout "blood and guts" fans it wasn't worth wasting your time for.

Great horror movie !

It was a great horror film because it didnt drag, the action started at the right time in the film. Another good thing was it had alot of funny parts in the film. Their were some funny scenes in the film. It had a little nudity but not overboard with sexual acts but had some sexy people. I'm going to see it again, its a must see.

Rarely do I get the pleasure of being completely sjocked by a horro film I totally dig. Well,t his one's it. Go see it, if you're anything at all like me.

The ENDING made the film.

The Cabin in the Woods was not what I expected at all. As my family mentioned, it was, surprisingly, a mix of Thirteen Ghosts and Hunger Games. Sounds crazy, but pretty accurate! The movie was, to me, very confusing until about the last hour or so. There were a few laughs and creepy parts here and there, but this is definitely not a HORROR film. More gory than anything. As my title stated, it was the ENDING that made me enjoy the film. I will not spoil it for all of you who haven't seen it, but I found the last hour or so to be lots of fun. Other than that, blah. My suggestion ... wait until it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray. It is not something that needs to be seen on the big screen.

This is one of those movies that you hear other complain about when you leave the theater!!

This may be the worst pile of crap I have ever seen. The acting was ok but the story line of this movie was completely awful. The best part of the entire movie was when one of the girls took her top off and that was even sub-par. Even after seeing the movie I am still not 100% for sure what this was about. I am glad we snuck into the theater otherwise I would have did like they did on southpark and go to the directors house and demand my money back. Even though we didnt pay for the movie I still regret going as it was possibly the biggest waste of 2 hours in my life. I think I would have rather spent my time in the DMV. I would just wait to rent it that way you are not upset when you realize half way through the movie that you would rather run a electric sander accross your face then finish this worthless movie! This and The Village are about the same quality of movie, so if you like pure garbage then this is for you!

Horrible movie!!!

I was ready to walk out in the first 5 minutes of this movie. I cannot believe how horrible this movie was, the acting was bad, the script was ridiculous, and have never seen so many people walk out of the theater! I was furious on how bad this movie was, it should have never been released! I wanted to stab my eye with a fork to take the pain away from what the movie was giving me...I would have walked out but i had 5 other people suffering through this movie with me and didnt want to be the one to leave! After the movie they all felt the same!

Unique Story

I liked it. From the tile and trailer, I did not expect this kind of story. Because of its unique story, I would recommend my friends to see it. Defintely not for children!

I think of two things that could have been better for my taste.

(1) It was very painful for me to see people celebrating when their big monitor was showing the Virgin being killed. It must have been the movie maker's intention to disturbe the audiance and maximize brutality, but it was too inhumane for me to watch.

(2) The ending could have been better, even though I understand it is difficult to end a story like this.

Cabin in the Woods

This was the biggest waste of time and money I have spent in months. It started out ok, but once the zombies and sci-fi came on, I got bored. For someone in their late 40's, I found this
film a complete waste. i think it made absolutely no sense. There was WAY too much use of the F word.

OMG!!! Si vio el video de Michael Jackson "Thriller"? Pues solo le faltan 20 min de cabin in the woods para perder la hora y media de pelicula....mala, los zoombies, efectos, hasta el tema de la pelicula no queda claro....el fin del mundo!!! Malisisisiiisima.
