Good movie!

I was very pleased with the movie "Chimpanzee." The cinematography was amazing! I hesitated to see the movie, because I mistakenly thought it would be enjoyable only for children. Several scenes in the movie demonstrating the remarkable abilities of chimpanzees held me in awe. One such scene detailed the coordinated teamwork by the family of chimps in stalking and hunting a group of smaller and more agile colobus monkeys. Much to my chagrin, some scenes brought tears to my eyes. Others made me laugh out loud. Although I have always been fascinated by primates in general, I think this movie would be entertaining for almost any audience.

Bring the Whole Family!

Kids, Grandparents, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles....EVERYONE should go out & see this heartwarming film! My only complaint is that they waited until a few minutes into the closing credits to put the statistic up on the screen showing that there were over one million chimps in the wild in 1960, and that today that number has dwindled to 1/5 of that number. Too important to put so late into the credits, after most people have already left. BUT, the film is an amazing achievement overall & well worth the price of admission.

My 9 year old grandson and I went to see Chimpanzee. It was a great movie. It was funny, touching, excitng and informative. The audience laughed at cute and funny parts. The tense moments had you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happened. I am an animal lover and was concerned it might have sad moments as real life animal adventures do. I was pleased at how the movie was edited as nothing graphic was shown. It was suitiable for all audiences...the very young...and adults with the big hearts for animals.
I recommend seeing this movie...adults as well as children.

This movie is a great watch but no for young children. It kept my attention and was great but as the young onces also in the theature not so much interst for them.

Chimpanzee -- Wonderful Family Movie

My husband and I saw the movie "Chimpanzee" last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cinematography was amazing (we really liked the clips at the end, showing the videographers at work), the storyline was great, and Tim Allen did a terrific job narrating.

Everyone--all ages--can enjoy this movie. Children will love the antics and ingenuity of the chimps along with the story (no worries for younger children--the filming does not include graphic scenes), and adults will additionally appreciate the beauty and intriguing filming of the natural world.

We loved this film and hope everyone enjoys it as much as we did. To the film industry: Thank you for producing good, decent, inspiring movies like this. Please make more!

Saw the movie with the family and thought it was cute. A little slow but the cinematography is cool. Is a nice family movie if you like nature and animals.

Great Nature Film!

Great Story. A story evolved from an unlikely source. Engaging and awe-inspiring to see some of the video footage the camera team was able to obtain. Great for kids and enough to keep the adults interested.

I took my two grandchildren ages 5 and 6. They loved the movie. The views of the jungle and how the animals behave was a wonderful leaning experience. Although Oscar's mother was killed, it was tastefully filmed so that there was no violence shown. Even when the other group of Chimpanzees tried to take over Oscar's territory, the filming was done in such a way that young viewers would not be frightened. The time laps filming was beautiful, I did have to explain to the children how everything grew so quickly. This film gave the viewers the chance to witness nature in a way that few of us will ever have he opportunity. There should be more films of this type produced, there are so few movies that a family can attend together without the worry of language or content.

you must go its very sad at some point but then it gets happy and in the sad part its sad but you want to see the sad part.in the sad part i cried but thats just me i thought it was very sad and every time i see the trailer i still cry i'm just very sensitive.but you must go its a good family movie.

fantastic movie

movie was so fantastic and inspiring! just think that people with children that can't sit and watch a movie for 1 hour and 32 minutes should leave them at home, but glad money was raised for chimps the first week of release at least that made it tolerable.

Good Movie

Before we go to any movies at the theater, we always try to decide if this is a "Theater Movie" or a "Home Movie".

Chimpanzee was excellent, but definitely a "Home Movie". If we had taken children with us, it would have been worth going to see at the theater. But, for two adults we would have enjoyed this just as much at home on our flat screen tv.

The cinematography was fantastic.
