    Blah, Blah, Blah...

    by

And thats about it. Pretty useless treatment of what could have been a fun movie. Not really much else to say. The story is pretty boring and even though a kids movie, certainly does not translate to an adult watchable movie. A few obvious jokes, but really was quite useless all in all. If you are taking the kids, have an adult beverage before hand, it might be a bit better.

    See Frankenweenie instead!

    by

This movie dragged all the way through. Where's the comedy? Scenes dragged and seemed like forever for the story t begin. the build up to the stroyline didn't make sense. you can tell this movie was whipped up just for the halloween season, hoping to be a hit at the box office. Storyline was all over the place. Lobby scene was way too long. Adam Sandler's impression sounds more like a grandmother from Jersey. Save your money.. Wait for the video release for $1.00.

    We love Dracula

I went to this movie with my kids just because they could not go alone. I did not expect much, but I was so very wrong. The story was a sweet take on themes of young love and a parents need to let a child grow up. My daughter says this is her favorite new movie and the best one she has seen this year in the animated catagory. My son wants to go again to see it tonight. High praise from all of us. We watched the 2d version.

    LOVED it!

    by

The whole movie was great! Cute story, wonderful animation, not too scary for our four year old, tons of laughs. Quite a few morsels of "over the kids' heads" humor which I always appreciate in an animated film. We'll be buying this when it comes out on DVD.

    Awesome family movie!

My husband and I were celebrating our 20 wedding anniversary with our two children - 11 and 15 year old girls - we wanted a movie we could all enjoy. This was it! It was very funny and really had that underlining worried parent vs. young independent child thing going on too. We laughed for most of the movie. It also was an interesting twist with all the "monsters" together at a hotel and watching how they all got along with each other. Funny, funny, funny . . .

    GREAT Movie

This movie was truly an all family film. We had an age range of 4 to 52 years old. We all compeltely enjoyed it. The two youngest in our group, 4 and 5 years old, were a little emotional after they realized one major sad part of the movie, but they were both quickly engrossed in the rest of the story line. The characters were great, and the voices were perfect. There are definitely parts that are unexpected, and the movie is hilarious.
A definite will purchase as soon as it is released for home entertainment.

    Cute

We really enjoyed this movie. Our kids, ages 5,8 and 9 loved it!! I do think that there were a few missed opportunities for some funnier lines/situations but all-in-all a really good movie. I also appreciated that this kids movie wasn't filled with adult situations, just fun kid stuff!! Wish Cee-lo had been given more singing time!!

    Very entertaining w/a lovely message

Cute film, the kids really got a kick out of it. My family is big on Adam Sandler so they especially enjoyed hearing him talk as the Vampire, but it was clever and sweet. If you have to choose between Wreck-It-Ralph and this, choose Wreck-It-Ralph, but then definitely plan watch this one on DVD, totally worth it! Don't forget about it!

    Hotel Transylvania

    by

I took my 8 year old to see Hotel Transylvania! She absolutely loved it! Several times the entire audience laughed & kept chuckling even more! Even the music was cool, the story line was great for kids...
Dracula loses his wife in a 'vampire hunt'. Dracula builds an exclusive Hotel in his own secret underground world. Mavis, Drac's only daughter-Dracula will do anything to protect his precious daughter, even building a fake 'human city' to stage an act that shows how the generations of humans want to attack the monsters. Especially towards the end, Adam Sandler, who plays Count Dracula, even learns to trust humans, after a boy who is hiking falls into to underground world and shakes things up to give Mavis an awesome 118th Birthday!
The monster scenes could have been just a little more funny, but overall, the movie was great!

"who makes up these things...I don't say 'blah-blah-blah-blah-blah!"
The movie was 4/5 funny & left my daughter actually dancing in the theater!

    Better than Expected

I went to see this flick because we love occult shows, and an occult animated feature was too cool to miss. But, as an adult, I had limited expectations (wasn't impressed with Para Norman). The kids LOVED it; laughing out loud by turns, and my hubby and I were surprised at the voices (Buscemi? How awesome!) and the humor. Good show!

    Hotel Transyvania

    by krmius

It was a good movie for kids and as well for adults. At times it got boring for the adults. But perfect for children under 10, as well as up to teen years(early.) I would recommend this for the whole family.

A Fun Time for Parents and Kids

Saw this yesterday with my wife. We both really enjoyed it. Lots of multi level humor for adults and kids. With lots of SNL alums involved, a movie can be a hit or a miss, this one was a big hit. There were people there that brought there kids to the show and those kids all seemed to be laughing a lot. Definitely worth the time. Saw it in regular theater, not in 3-d, not sure if the 3-d would enhance the experience or not.
