It was cute, funny and heartfelt. With a great cast of voices and personalities that made all the characters seem real. I'd see it again in a heartbeat.

Fun movie for younger kids

I took my 8 year old and he had a few laughs - seems like this is a good fit for younger kids. Overall a good fun movie.

Super Entertaining!!!!

My husband and I went to see this movie we are in our 40s and 50s! I laughed harder than the children that were sitting around us! The movie is a Must Go! Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez truly HYPNOTIZE you in this show! Keeps you laughing and entertained. I can't wait to see it again!

Adam Sandler Is Starting To Redeem Himself

This movie was incredible, in no small part due to the director, Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of such shows as Samurai Jack and Dexter's Laboratory, who practically rewrote the entire script to be something he was willing to put his name on. To all the people saying that this has Sandler's low-brow humor, ignore them. This film has a ton of heart and humor, not to mention the incredible art direction. I'm going to have to see this film again just so that I can catch some of the background gags that I originally missed.

It had all the potential in the supernatural universe...

...and, like a scruffy, odoriferous stray cat laboriously licking itself for over an hour and a half, was barely able to choke out a malevolent fur ball of a plot. I definitely laughed at one point, but for the life of me, I can't remember why? Maybe when it ended. Four phalanges down! Boo (hoo)!

Fun Movie

It was a cute movie. It was fun to see how they created and used each of the monsters. My 10 y.o. and 12 y.o. both really enjoyed it...and so did I!

I laughed more than the children around me. My grandchildren were saying, " Grandma you are too loud." I will buy it when it comes to DVD. Thanks for a GREAT time.

Kids will love it, adults will laugh.

It's a fun movie and my daughter loved it. Lots of good monsters and music. Funny for adults too - but the plot is a little tired, some of the storyline is formulaic. But it's a good family film - and mindless fun!

A MUST SEE!!!!

All three of my children and my husband and I LOVED Hotel Transylvania.
Such a FUN movie. And something for everyone, even us parents! Usually my kids always have a part of movies they find boring and become distracted. This is the FIRST movie they didn't say anything and most of the movie sat there with thier mouths open in a***..
We are going back to see it in 3D next week!

Cute movie

My husband and I are in our mid-to-late 60s and we thought this movie was cute. There was something for all ages though I think the "monsters" we grew up seeing in black and white maybe even made it more fun. The humor has the right amount of gross-out/potty humor for the kids to enjoy and enough adult humor that is hopefully over the heads of the young ones to get. Very cleverly done and a story with a good moral.

Great family movie for all ages

We went with our 2.5 yr old girl and 6.5 yr old boy and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. The comic relief for the grownups was perfect and the kids were giggling the whole time.

Cute and Clever

My 3 year old sat through the whole movie. A few scenes startled him but the movie kept his attention beautifully. Clever, witty writing made it enjoyable for us adults.

I thought it was a great movie! My wife and I took our 12 year old son and 6 and 7 year old granddaughters. Great storyline. Great animation. Great actors doing the voiceovers. I didn't know Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, and Steve Buscemi were in it and they were hilarious! Definitely recommended for families!

Good Monster Movie for kids

Adam Sandler heads a great cast of voice acting as Hotel owner and loving father Count Dracula. He only wants what's best for his daughter Mavis on her 118th birthday. That includes keeping her far away from humans. But Andy Samberg plays Jonathan, the only human to ever visit the hotel. Mavis and Jonathan fall for each other immediately, and Daddy Dracula spends the whole time trying to keep them apart. Firstly, the characters were fun to look at and listen to. All of the classic monsters had screen time that engaged kids. But I don't think adults will get the same enjoyment, though there were plenty of moments that I laughed at. The story was pretty simple, but there were a couple touching scenes also, especially one with Dracula looking back at his past. GEEK SOUL BROTHER says GO with your little ones, but don't look for anything original. Great monster movie for little kids. I give it 3.5 COSMIC AFROS.
