More fun than expected

We had heard some pretty negative things about the movie before going (shallow, poor animation, nothing for adults), but my 18 year old son and I like it a LOT. Doesn't quite rise to the level of a MUST go, but it is definitely a GO.
The animation is not up to the standard of recent extraordinary advances in the art, but it was perfectly serviceable and well enough done that it didn't get in the way of telling the story. The characters were sweet and generally endearing; possibly some people would be disappointed in the lack of bad guys and dramatic tension, but we accepted the exploration of ambivalence and the effect of love on relationships and enjoyed the various sometimes unexpected plot twists and turns. We really liked the story and were able to just sit back and relax and enjoy the fun. It was a nice change from a lot of the adrenaline charged movies we've been seeing recently!

This is a great film to see for young and old...I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. I'll definitely see it again :-)

Hotel Transylvania

Took my 16 year old son to see Hotel Transyvania as a reward for doing well in school. We went on a Saturday afternoon. Thank goodness bought the tickets on Fandango. About ten minutes before the movie started the theatre was packed. Really enjoyed it. Loved Fran Drescher's character. It was a really cute, fun moviie.

I loved this movie. I enjoyed all the monsters. I thought the story was
awesome!! It made me laugh. I can totally see dads doing this kind of
stuff to protect their daughters. It's great.

LOVED IT

My girls and I just watched this movie in 3D and loved it. It was funny, light and just enjoyable. My girls laughed so hard and they are 4 and 6. A wonderful family movie!!

A movie for both kids and adults

My husband and I took our twelve year old daughter and her friend to see Hotel Transylvania. While my husband and I were not allowed to sit near my daughter and her friend both groups really liked the movie and both thought it was funny.

The Monsters Love the Hotel

I am a 5 1/2 year old girl and I went with my Nana to see this movie and she is typing this right now.

My favorite character is Mavis. I like the hotel because I like all the monsters.

Finally a "True" kids movie

Went to see this with my granddaughter who laughed and clapped the entire movie. As we left the theatre all I could hear was, "Awesome", "Great Grandma", "Loved it Mom"...
Another great movie that expresses the love of parent!!

Great movie

While billed as more of a kid-flick, my wife and I went to see it ourselves and enjoyed it immensely. The 'adult' humour was subtle enough that the too young kids won't catch it, and the story was something that both kids and parents can relate too. I'd strongly recommend it for any parents of teens as well. Great job!!

Great funny movie

This is a must see. Especially if you have a young kid. The adult humor was hilarious. Adam Sandler does a great Dracula's voice. They all did great. I would see it again.

I laughed more than the children around me. My grandchildren were saying, " Grandma you are too loud." I will buy it when it comes to DVD. Thanks for a GREAT time.

Oh NO..It was terrible....even the kids barely laughed apart from potty humor

I thought it might be a haloween semi good movie but it was plain terrible, ive never seen a kids movie not even impress the kids.

I thought it was staggered. scened seemed to have no connection to the previous scenes, people hating then liking each other in seconds and vice versa...its like the plot from a kids book with half the pages ripped out.

It surprised me how terrible it was then at the end, thankfully i reached it..although deserving a medal...then the facts arrived, it was an adam sandler production..they may as well have stamped it 'unwatchable', now i understand why his effect was left out at the beginning...if the kids had paid to go in theyd have asked for their money back but im sure mom n dad would rather have spent $100 watching 40 episodes of the tellitubies back to back with barbed wire eye patches on.

I feel like i have been forced through a mugging...

This has my bad apple award for the most terrible movie of the year AVOID GRADE:- E-

I took my 8 year old to see Hotel Transylvania! She absolutely loved it! Several times the entire audience laughed & kept chuckling even more! Even the music was cool, the story line was great for kids...
Dracula loses his wife in a 'vampire hunt'. Dracula builds an exclusive Hotel in his own secret underground world. Mavis, Drac's only daughter-Dracula will do anything to protect his precious daughter, even building a fake 'human city' to stage an act that shows how the generations of humans want to attack the monsters. Especially towards the end, Adam Sandler, who plays Count Dracula, even learns to trust humans, after a boy who is hiking falls into to underground world and shakes things up to give Mavis an awesome 118th Birthday!
The monster scenes could have been just a little more funny, but overall, the movie was great!

"who makes up these things...I don't say 'blah-blah-blah-blah-blah!"
The movie was 4/5 funny & left my daughter actually dancing in the theater!

Kids loved it!

What was I expecting when I first saw the preview on tv? It looked like something that would have good humor for both adults and children and would keep your interest throughout its duration, and that it did. However some parts were slightly gross and it fealt like the movie was rushing through the story line. I would rate it a 9/10 and say its a good movie for family night and definetly one to watch every halloween!
