Not great, but the kids loved it.
Overall, the story was sweet and fine for kids, but this was totally run-of-the-mill fare. Several tired fart jokes, some lame gags and action scenes that sensorially assault you can't make up for a lack of orginality. Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez and Kevin James did a good job with their voices, but Fran Drescher and Andy Samberg's voices were toally annoying, and steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon were completely wasted.
That being said, my kids thought it was "awesome," and laughed several times throughout.
The show also has a sweet message, although my five year old was - not scared, but a little nervous during several scenes, and she did ask for some clarification about the movie's completely stupid take on how love works. (Once you "zing," it's love at first sight and you'll be together forever! It only happens once in your life! wtf?)
Go if you have kids who want to see it, or who are ready for a fairly gentlre intro to horror-movie monsters. Otherwise, skip it.
