Very cute and really funny!!

I haven't seen an animated movie in forever so I was wasn't sure if I would like it. I was laughing almost the whole time. It was really funny!

Finally a "True" kids movie

Went to see this with my granddaughter who laughed and clapped the entire movie. As we left the theatre all I could hear was, "Awesome", "Great Grandma", "Loved it Mom"...
Another great movie that expresses the love of parent!!

Well done film, but does nearly every kids' movie have to include something about a mother who is dead or who dies in the film? I had our 8 year old's friend with us and she cried during parts of this film. Some of it was very sad for her and didn't need to be. So many times we go to the movies and we experience death in some way in many of these childrens' films. In addition to just about every Disney film, there's Finding Nemo, Chimpanzee, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, so many more...and now Hotel Transylvania. WHY?

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
It is great for both children and adults.
The animation was great and I loved all the characters
I laughed hysterically through the whole movie!

Highly recommend it!!

Hotel Transylvania - Loved it

I took my kids to see this Movie this weekend and they both love it. I enjoyed it as much as they did. Not your typical vampire story that is for sure. I loved the characters in it. My 3 year old and my 8 years old sat threw they whole movie. To sum it up we all laughed, and loved this Movie.

Hotel transylvania is a rental type of movie

The movie was okay, but not worth the price of admissions. The adults and teens were bored and the kids were mildly entertained. I found the jokes annoying and not very funny. It was definitely lacking something. I wish we had gone to something else.

I took my 8 year old to see Hotel Transylvania! She absolutely loved it! Several times the entire audience laughed & kept chuckling even more! Even the music was cool, the story line was great for kids...
Dracula loses his wife in a 'vampire hunt'. Dracula builds an exclusive Hotel in his own secret underground world. Mavis, Drac's only daughter-Dracula will do anything to protect his precious daughter, even building a fake 'human city' to stage an act that shows how the generations of humans want to attack the monsters. Especially towards the end, Adam Sandler, who plays Count Dracula, even learns to trust humans, after a boy who is hiking falls into to underground world and shakes things up to give Mavis an awesome 118th Birthday!
The monster scenes could have been just a little more funny, but overall, the movie was great!

"who makes up these things...I don't say 'blah-blah-blah-blah-blah!"
The movie was 4/5 funny & left my daughter actually dancing in the theater!

OMG, such a fun movie!!!! The characters were great, my kids loved the movie and I found myself throughly enjoying myself. I would totall go see it again in the theaters (:and that is saying something based on ticket prices).

Not what I was hoping for

I was really hoping for more since the cast was amazing But where were the writers?? Most of the jokes were just on the edge of being funny but most of them fell flat. Some scenes were just silly chaos. The ending was sappy and predictable. I'm glad I only paid $3.50 to see it.

Kids will love it, adults will laugh.

It's a fun movie and my daughter loved it. Lots of good monsters and music. Funny for adults too - but the plot is a little tired, some of the storyline is formulaic. But it's a good family film - and mindless fun!

Good Monster Movie for kids

Adam Sandler heads a great cast of voice acting as Hotel owner and loving father Count Dracula. He only wants what's best for his daughter Mavis on her 118th birthday. That includes keeping her far away from humans. But Andy Samberg plays Jonathan, the only human to ever visit the hotel. Mavis and Jonathan fall for each other immediately, and Daddy Dracula spends the whole time trying to keep them apart. Firstly, the characters were fun to look at and listen to. All of the classic monsters had screen time that engaged kids. But I don't think adults will get the same enjoyment, though there were plenty of moments that I laughed at. The story was pretty simple, but there were a couple touching scenes also, especially one with Dracula looking back at his past. GEEK SOUL BROTHER says GO with your little ones, but don't look for anything original. Great monster movie for little kids. I give it 3.5 COSMIC AFROS. your dumb if u dont like this movie and if u didnt see it and writing bad things about it well then you a hater i liked the movie and so did my family so if i had to say something it would be to go and if i could rate it in numbers it would be 10000 points of rate and i think any age would like this so cheak it out.

LOVED it!

The whole movie was great! Cute story, wonderful animation, not too scary for our four year old, tons of laughs. Quite a few morsels of "over the kids' heads" humor which I always appreciate in an animated film. We'll be buying this when it comes out on DVD.

Good Movie!

My son and I really enjoyed this movie as it was very funny and entertaining! I think what really made this movie so good was the cast of characters. Definitely go and see it if you haven't already!
