Highly recommend for 5 year old boys

We went with 6 four and five year old boys and they sat through the whole movie and laughed a lot. They really liked the movie. The moms enjoyed it too.

Funny, Entertaining, Worth Watching

Kids loved it! As a parent - it's hard to sit down for an 1 1/2 hr and watch a BAD movie. Been there too many times but this movie is on my top #1 list.
Cool monsters, music was nice, plot of the story was cool!

GO WATCH IT!

This was a great movie! Pretty much for all ages. We went with a range of kids who were age 4 to 12. They loved it.l They loved all of the characters and were not "grossed out" by the love between Mavis and Johnny. Because it was not over done and kept with the humor. Also, there were not an overabundance of scarey scenes. It is also kept the adults entertained and was quite funny in parts.

The characters were loveable.
The storyline was good.
The father daughter relationship was good
The movie flowed good.

This movie is a must see for adults as well as children. There is so much humor,
wonderful subtleties throughout, we just laughed outloud. I believe this is the most creative animated movie I have seen in years. I went with my son and his 4 boys, ages 5-13,
we all loved it!! I will go again this next week with my other grandson, age 13. You will come away wanting to see it again too!!

Great kids movie

I really liked it. As with the other great kids movies there were lines and references that the adults can appreciate. Would have been worthy of going to see even without kids so I rated it a go. With kids it's one of the better theater movies for 7-10 year old kids I've seen in a while.

Fun movie, crappy ending

This was a fast moving, kid-themed Halloween tale. It kept the kids' attention. The characters had some big names (Adam Sandler, Kevin Smith, etc) and had some pretty funny scenes throughout. The ending was rushed and didn't seem to fit the story. To not give away the ending, the main character suddenly has a change of heart and so do all the other characters. Which is dumb and makes no sense. Other than this little detail, it was a good time and the kids enjoyed it, so money well-spent.

I REALY LIKED IT. IT WAS FUNNY AND CUTE. IT HAD A GOOD LESSON ON FEELINGS, LOVE AND CARING. THE CARACTORS WERE VERY CUTE AND INTERESTING. I FEEL THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. YES IT IS OK FOR ALL AGES TO GO AND SEE.

Fun Movie

My eight year old son and i loved this movie!! Alot of funny parts that kept him laughing throughout the movie. I enjoyed all of the different characters and the plot was easy to follow. Will definently buy this when it comes out on DVD,hopefully in 3D!!!

I thought it was cute. I think I enjoyed watching all the different type of characters. Majority of the monsters' appearance had me cracking up! Some cheesy parts, but enjoyable movie!

Not as good as I was hoping, but solid

I think alot of the cute scenes are in the trailer...the overall movie was cute and liked by both my 7 and 4 year olds. The 4 year old was not scared - the monsters were all approachable enough that she thought they were nice. Even in a couple of scenes where Drac gets angry and is kinds scary/loud she didn't mind. The story was a bit weak and given that the trailer was funny i thought some adult humor would be in there a bit more to keep us chuckling but not really. My husband fell asleep. Good for the kids, just solid for the adults...

Funny even for adults

Thought it was a cute movie and fun. My 9 yr old laughed through out the movie. Some dark moments, but nothing too bad. Seemed to go just a little predictable and flat towards the end, but overall good fun for the family.

Cute

We really enjoyed this movie. Our kids, ages 5,8 and 9 loved it!! I do think that there were a few missed opportunities for some funnier lines/situations but all-in-all a really good movie. I also appreciated that this kids movie wasn't filled with adult situations, just fun kid stuff!! Wish Cee-lo had been given more singing time!!

Usually when I hear of a broad range of celebrities doing voice overs, I'm put off. FORTUNATELY this cast did it exceptionally well! I enjoyed the film, definitely the right amount of childlike plot line coupled with adult humor!

Loved it!

This was one of those movies that didn't disappoint. Took my seven year old to see it and we laughed from beginning to end. Definetly recommened this one, and will be getting it when it comes out on dvd.
