Am I the only person in the world who does not like The Notebook? I love all of the other movies on the list, just never liked that one for some reason.

true, real, and everlasting love from the soul until the day you depart, or depart together. I think it is an encouraging movie that in this screwed up era of life with the divorce rates sky high, kids having only 1 parent, mixed marriages, etc. that their is some hope that REAL TRUE LOVE still exits. hope that helps. Also depends on how old you are also. If you are under 20, hope this helps

You need BBC Pride and Prejudice. Colin Firth is the best Mr. Darcy ever! Also, I can't stand The Notebook. And I'm also surprised that Twilight made it.

It's very...tweeny. Now don't get me wrong I went and saw all the movies when they came out. It just don't think it can be a classic in anyway. And I also think that the relationship between Bella and Edward is really creepy. Not because he's a vampire, but because she's so entirely dependent upon him and he enables that. I think that their relationship is attractive to teen girls. I know I would have thought it was romantic when I was younger, but not so much any more.

First, movies don't become classics in under five years. Second, you honestly think this schlock will stand the test of time alongside other classics like Casablanca? Sorry hon, but two dimensional characters, sorry, that's an affront to animation, ONE dimensional characters do not make compelling and classic cinema. Third, stop saying "epic." The more you say it the less it means, and saying it about twilight (I refuse to dignify it with a capital letter) cheapens the word even more.

I don't understand how it's romantic at all. A whiney girl who's depressed at the world and some vampire who's only intrigued by her because he can't read her thoughts and wants to half way eat her all the time. Yeah that's some everlasting romance there.... Definitely not a classic, Harry Potter that will be a classic soon, Twilight will just be a fad in pop culture history the same as the Spice Girls or any other tween fad, and that's about all it will achieve.

meg-t ...I agree with you. I think the relationship between Bella and Edward is disturbing. She is so dependent on him. Not sure she is a great role model for young women. Although, I have to admit, I find the movies very entertaining. And, Jacob...is HOT!

I agree. I actually enjoy the movies and have seen all of them but I agree with you that Bella isn't a good role model for young women. I was actually shocked to see it on this list.

Even while I read the books I kept saying to myself that I really dislike both Bella and Edward. WHY am I still reading? I still can't answer that. I guess I was just pulled in by the story itself. I needed to know what happened. She's a very one-dimensional character. I will say that I enjoyed the movies more than the books (a first for me) because I didn't have to listen the writer's narration. The writing was just terrible. It was nice to just have the dialogue...even thought it was pretty bad too.
