How would an average joe fare on the pro gridiron? Funny you should ask...and funnier to watch, as Alan Alda, playing real-world sports journalist George Plimpton, attempts to play quarterback for the Detroit Lions. Suffice to say, it doesn't go exactly as planned. Or then again, maybe it does.

Wow not to impressed with the list. I mean Any Given Sunday at the very least should be top 5 if not Number 1. It got beat out by Friday Night Lights and Jerry Maguire.. Jerry Maguire?? Great movie but not a football movie. Who makes these lists? I should. I made an account just to post that because this is just ridiculous. I know rudy belongs in the top and I would have to review some of the older movies but man this is just upsetting. I watch a lot of movies and the only thing I can say when i think about Any Given Sunday is how well made and emotionally appealing it is.

Pacino's speech alone, should put Any Given Sunday in the top 10. Rudy is a dork

i believe gridiron gang, friday night lights, waterboy, longest yard, and the express should be in the top ten together

I like most of the list though I'd probably throw in "The Last Boy Scout" instead of Necessary Roughness - but thats just me. My Top 10 would look more like this: 1. Brian's Song 2) We are the Titans 3) We are Marshal 4) The Longest Yard 5) Friday Night Lights 6) Rudy 7) Invincible 8) Radio 9) North Dallas Forty 10) Knute Rockne All American

I think its was a pretty accurate list except no one can believe Adam Sandler can play football, let alone sing at a wedding.
A look at Hollywood's best crews in outer space.
Who needs plot and story when your movie looks this good? (Although, most of these have that, too.)
