Fandango turns ten this month and we’re celebrating by taking a look back at happenings in the movie world over the past decade. Today we discuss the trends that have shaped the past decade of the moviegoing experience. There’s the cool (improved digital effects, better 3D, IMAX, reserved seating), the not so cool (cell phones ringing in the middle of the movie, piracy) and the somewhere in between (remakes, sequels and the dominance of comic book movies).
I would have to reserved seating and booze are my favorite upgrades from the past century.
di to the tto.
gotta go with the comic book characters as my top pick. i was REALLY into 3D from '07-'09, when it was being used a bit less and the tickets didn't cost so much, but now the tix are so much and the 3D has actually gotten worse (or more bland). and i have to say, as dumb as piracy is, i have discovered some pretty awesome stuff that i probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. and in turn, i ended up becoming a purchasing consumer.
I love reserved seating. Now we know we'll be getting a seat, and it will be where we want to sit! That's awesome!!! No more worries about the long lines.
More 3D Imax
