Few movies stab at audiences' hearts so deeply as those starring man's best friend. Loyal, devoted, lovable, damaged--dogs in movies have a way of pulling the heartstrings like no other. It remains to be seen if this week's Beverly Hills Chihuahua (out Oct. 3) will stand the test of time, but here we present 10 of our favorite cinema canines over the years, in no particular order.
