"Sucker Punch" (2011)

Sucker Punch (2011)

The only all-female group of badasses is courtesy of director Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen). Based on an original idea of his, Emily Browning kicks butt alongside Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Chung, as they try to escape from a mental institution by any means and state of mind necessary.

While I generally agree with the list - seriously though? The Outsiders - and "action flick"? I think not. Now if you want a SERIOUS action flick with an All-Star ensamble ... where is Midway? It starred Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, James Colburn, Glen Ford, Hal Holbrook, Robert Mitchem, Cliff Robertson, AND Robert Wagner, How did this movie miss the list? Or The Longest Day? How 'bout Guns of Navarone? Or Where Eagles Dare? Apocalypse Now anyone Heck - I'd even throw Kelly's Heros in there too!!!!

Agree with trailerfan, except for the rumble scene in "The Outsiders," which would most definitely qualify as an action scene. I love how Dillon's Dally kicks total *** while Cruise's scrappy Steve takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin,' and Rob Lowe's Sodapop even gets in a good shot or two. If it's a fistfight between The Outsiders and the pansies from Takers, it's no contest. Rob Lowe lays the smackdown on Hayden Christensen and his stupid bowler hat. BTW, where's Predator?

nice list - although i'm not sure I'd classify the S.E. Hinton story, "The Outsiders", as an "action movie" - although it certainsly fits the category of "all-star ensemble"...

I agree wholeheartedly with akbooth! Silverado is an amazing movie with not just that stellar ensemble but you have to had the scenery to the cast! The soundtrack is amazing also! My only regret is that I never saw it on the big screen!

Sorry to say this but you only missed the top all star movie ensemble of all time in my personal opinion. In 1985 audiences were treated to the biggest and best western of that decade and possibly of all time, "Silverado." The list of actors for this movie is as follows: Kevin Kline, a young Kevin Costner, Scott Glenn, Danny Glover, John Cleese, Brian Dennehy, Jeff Fahey, Linda Hunt, Jeff Goldblum. Rosanna Arquette. If that doesnt make for the best all time casting then Please prove me wrong. Also I agree young guns was a very good choice:-)
