Special Ability: He believes his enhanced ability is his compassion and he lives by a strong moral code. He won’t change a human into a vampire unless it’s to save a life. As the patriarch of the Cullen family, he changed all the members with the exception of Alice and Jasper.
Esme: Depressed by the death of her infant son, she jumped off a cliff attempting suicide. Presumed dead, she was admitted to the morgue, but Carlisle could still hear her heart beat and decides to change her. They fall in love and marry, and Esme serves as the adoptive mother to the rest of the Cullens. Although she has no special power, she’s known to love passionately and loves her adoptive children as she did her own son.
