The story takes place at Christmastime, but the film was released in summer due to scheduling conflicts.

What happened to my all-time favorite Heidi w/Shirley Temple? I loved watching Heidi and the Grandfather! I purchased the DVD , so I will still be enjoying it this season. Just thought it was a mentionable because in my house, it is a very Christmasy-type movie that sets the atmosphere for the season. It also has a darn good storyline too.
