Even though Breaking Dawn Part 1 didn’t shatter any notable box office records, the film still did amazing numbers on its much-anticipated opening weekend, nabbing first place with $140 million, which wasn’t enough to top New Moon’s $142 million debut, but definitely enough for fifth place on the all-time opening weekend charts (head over to our friends at Movies.com to see more nerdy Breaking Dawn box office stats).
Twilight, You Rate the New Releases
i loved the movie! it was good but yeah i was a little upset that they skipped some parts from the book but come on they cant make each movie like the books! I think this is the best twilight movie compared to the other ones, cant wait for part2
From a person that has read all of Stephenie Meyer's books I was disappointed in her first book's film adaption, Twilight, and never went to see New Moon or Eclipse due to my disappointment on the first movie. However, one of my friends dragged me to see Breaking Dawn Part 1 and I am glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not saying it was as good as the book - I mean really, what movie adaption is? - but it was a fairly good movie. The movie stayed true to the book for the most part and after only 3 movies it seems as if the actors are finally getting into their roles. Not only that but I may watch Breaking Dawn Part 2.
I loved the movie... It is my favorite. The order i like the Twilight Series in is Breaking Dawn Pt. 1, Twilight, Eclipse and then New Moon. Now I just have to find a way to have patience for pt 2. I guess to pass the time i'll have to go see pt 1 for the 3rd time and then maybe a 4th.... Even my fiance love it and can't wait to go see it again.
I can't wait for the next one. I'm surpise they didn't show any of the volturi in the film. In all the whole movie was awesome..
did anyone stay through the credits to see the rest of it with the volturi
So is that when the volturi part was shown?? After the credits? I had wondered when did that part show?? I had seen it in the trailer but not the movie.
I loved Breaking Dawn Part 1. I will see it again. An I'm ready for Part 2..
Loved the movie. Thought the movie followed the book and when it didn't, it still fit with the story line. Thought some of the characters looked weird but I loved the scenery, the dialogue, the way the story played out and can't wait for the final episode.
My daughter and I loved "Breaking Dawn Part 1" and can't wait to see Part 2. She has already seen the movie twice and wants us to see it again this weekend! I thought the scenery was fantastic, the special effects were great - I just wish the honeymoon had lasted longer. I can't believe we have to wait a whole year to see Part 2!
I loved it and I can't wait to see part 2 but first I need to see part 1 a few more times.
I really enjoyed it. Can't wait til part 2! Too bad its a whole years wait.
Saw it with my sister TWILIGHT Breaking Dawn Pt I (she like's the wolves in this movie) and I wanted to see the other side of Edward's family (at home & the ones in Europe...'but the one's in Europe are not closely related but enemies). Thought I wouldn't like it so much due to Bella moodiness in previous films but this one "I liked alot" & Bella wasn't so moody, just scared (and I can understand, why...'those dreams). Looking forward to TWILIGHT Breaking Dawn II: seeing Actors Michael Sheen & Christopher Hayerdahl (lov' him) added a chilling twist. Everyone who goes "please" stay through the ending credits 'cause it's a nice chiller surprise toward the end. Nice!! Very good darkly chiller-Romance & supense movie: The Cast solid.
All I can say is that I absolutely loved it as much as the book. I wish men today would treat us women like that.
Isnt that the truth?? Sure wish there were men out there that felt that way about their woman.
I loved the books and all the movies, except this one. Breaking Dawn Part 1 was ok but the director was a poor choice. Of the three previous movies, I think New Moon was the best, followed by Eclipse and then Twilight....and I really liked Twilight. If they had used the same director who did New Moon, you would have seen a really good movie, but instead they picked a director who, in my opinion, was clueless when it came to dealing with the vampires (Cullens) and the Wolfs (Sam, Jacob, Seth, Leah). This movie was ok and I really wanted to like it, but the fact is...it's just ok. I wedding was ok the honeymoon was really good and the Bella scences of her pregnencie were also good but the wolfs look small and the wolf talk was stupid.
WOW. I SO FEEL THE SAME WAY. I WAS VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS ONE.
I feel the same was not as happy with this one as the previous ones.
I really think the fans were so anxious to see the movie
that they would almost have accepted anything...me included. But after a few days, I realized just how disappointed I really was.
Great movie..........very well directed...........great acting...........good CGI.
This entire movie was beautiful. I was sooooo glad to see the direction moved BACK to the love story between Edward and Bella. The wedding, honeymoon, pregnancy, delivery, family interations(Cullens and Swans) and the protectiveness of everyone, especially Edward, for Bella and Renessmee......beautiful. The director and cast deserves praise. ....Can hardly wait to see Part 2.
Wolf scenes were terrible. Reminded me of Homeward Bound. Kristen Stewart is a boring actress. Honeymoon scenes should have been rated "R".
Never understand why KS gets called a bad actress....she is "BELLA" as the character is written. Have you seen her in Runaways or Welcome to the Rileys? The woman is good.
Can't wait for Part 2!!! Sat in the theater transfixed and was sorry to see the credits rolling so soon.
I thought "part one" was very good and relatively close to the book however the wolf special effects are horrible.
Agreed I could not stand the wolf scenes
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
