No one seems to be hotter than Amy Adams right now, who's quietly taking Hollywood by storm by starring in a number of hit movies. The gal will stretch her repertoire and get her blue-collar grit on for a role in The Fighter later this year, and now Entertainment Weekly is reporting on three more potential roles for Adams to take on next.
I think it would be brilliant for her to be in Welcome to People. Chris Pine is an amazing actor, and I would love to see their dynamic. Although some may argue that she is typecasted, she isn't always the kid-friendly Amy Adams we know. She was wonderful in Sunshine Cleaning and Moonlight Serenade, and those were hardly characters that were anything like Princess Giselle of Enchanted. While movies like Julie and Julia and Leap Year were wonderful feel-good roles, my favorite by far was Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. I must have seen that movie four hundred times. There is such depth to her role that is only revealed in a short cab ride in that movie, it makes it all the more clear what a diverse actress she has the ability to be.
1.I think her personality would lend well to We Bought a Zoo. Its possible she would bring out the best in Matt Damon (who is already a fantastic actor). I certainly would not be interested to see the movie if it featured Kirsten Dunst.
2.Although she is very cute, I don't think it would be wise to be in the Muppet movie. I think she would run the risk of being type casted. No actor wants to have a single range of childhood fantasy or romantic comedy. All that said, I would still see the movie and I am sure she would do great.
3. I cannot imagine her in Welcome to People. Speaking of being type casted. Although it may seem like a weird fit now, it may be good for her to prove that she can handle deeper characters. Very curious.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
