Tara McNamara, editor of KidsPickFlicks.com, guests on our Fandango Freshly Popped Blog with her mom's take on some films you might want to avoid on Mother's Day…
"I'm Not Jesus Mommy" came out this weekend about a possessed demon-child who is the result of a cloning experiment where they attempt to make a copy of Christ... I'm not sure it it belongs on this list, but I just saw it yesterday and it's one of those "mom" films you'll remember.
Oh, no! LOL
Obviously the author never watched " 'Night Mother" with Sissy Spacek and Albert Brooks. This would Number One, easily!
i vaguely remember "'Night, Mother" with Sissy Spacek and Anne Bancroft (the late Mrs. Mel Brooks)...but the Albert Brooks movie you might be thinking of is "Mother" with Debbie Reynolds...both good choices...
Mentioning Spacek reminds me of "Carrie," surely not a movie to watch with Mom.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
