Tons of Fandango readers had something to say about the new updated Wonder Woman costume that Adrianne Palicki wears in the upcoming David E. Kelley show that will only make it to air should NBC approve the pilot, which is being shot now. Everyone thought the new look was perfect for a cheap Halloween costume – with its shiny, plastic blue pants and over-the-top red lipstick – but for a serious superhero, no way.
Okay, no the new costume is well wrong. First, the great part about the wonder woman custume was the bare legs, okay. Really. Finally, the casting, Wonder woman is supposed to be an Amazon Princess, Amazons according to myth were Warror women, not a fluff, hell cast ont of the Deva's from the WWE instead
This is gonna SUCK!!!
Wonder Woman has always been noted as a bad *** amazon princess..with sex appeal...she should kick the assae of all those who change her in any way...you might as well take the S off supermans chest....big big screw up from guys...just sayin!!!
In this era the whole costume is coming off cheesy... the entire thing should be re-vamped for the small screen and I do believe it would be widley accepted as long as it kept key elements of the original and fit into todays trends which neither one of these outfits can pull off. If they head in this direction this will be a 4 to 8 and out series. The majority of the watchers arent even going to be the old WW fans its gonna be the younger generation who are into girl power that they need to appeal to and this costume is doomed to fail... Both of them. Take Batman he has had how many costume changes including colors, but stays true to the original in design... which the costume designer should have taken into consideration during design.
I personally would be willing to watch it if the costume looked more like the comic. I am tired of comic movies & TV shows changing the costumes. Marvel does a better job now (Spiderman's organic webs) but DC with Superman Returns, and Smallville try too hard to look "realistic"...It's a super hero show/movie, it doesn't have to be "real"!

I personally like the shiny blue pants and boots better.
It needs to remain true to the original. The new costume is atrocious. Lynda Carter's characterization of Wonder Woman was the best!
i think people are forgetting that while WW (lynda carter) - was totally sexy, part of her costume was in fact , made of pantyhose THICKER than most PANTS!!!!!!
Seriously DC can you even get your own characters right? Boots need to be red WITH a white stripe down front and heels not flats and no gold. She either needs the cheerleader bottoms ( with the skirt like she usually wears on her island home) or hot pants. DON'T cover her legs. The dark blue is better but the gold stars down the side look bad. The tiara doesn't even look like she could throw it. try this: [BLOCKED WEBSITE]
I liked the original Wonder Woman. Linda carter costume version. But if I had to pick betewwn the two they have now, I prefer the shiny costume. Oh well what does it matter, it's not like we are trying to create world peace here.
yep...new one is frumpy. the shiny one looks closer to Linda Carter the only problem I have with them is that they are pants. Epic fail on the part of all you whiners.
I had WW underoos as a kid that looked better than this costume. If you are going to remake a show you need to use the original costume type. Sure Linda Carter's bottoms looked like huge granny panties but hey that is what WW wore so I think it would be really funny to see it in the new one!!
(My apologies - I mispelled Carter's first name 'Lynda'.)
I like the original idea - what's wrong with plastic pants? She looks hot and super (superhero). I don't know...it just seems the new outfit and lack of lipstick look kind of frumpy and ho-hum.
Costume: 1st and 2nd designs? WHACK! Go back to the original. I don't even like the new costumes those morons at DC put on our favorite Amazon. They tried it with Batman and Superman over the years and always came back to the original design which means it's a CLASSIC - HINT FREAKIN' HINT!
Actress: Height is good, but a bit on the skinny side to be WW. Adrianne Palicki though is a cutie, she would better serve as one of the Amazon sisters instead of Diana Prince in my opinion...but she might make it work who knows. Linda Carter was just drop dead gorgeous which helped through her average acting abilities. Furthermore, Carter spoiled us because her look and body was made for the original costume from the start.
Wonder Woman with shiny pants is maybe okay...but Linda Carter's costume was, and IS the best! Wearing that sort of leotard with suntan, glossy pantyhose was fantastic!!!
GO BACK TO THE OLD COSTUME!!!!!!! THIS RUINS WONDER WOMAN
I think the improvements are GREAT! This is as close to the classic costume that you can get now without Wonder Woman being overly objectified.
They're both terrible! This show WILL suck, I guarantee it! You can't normalize Wonder Woman. She doesn't wear Mom jeans.
i likethe original costume i dont like this one the original was just fine keep it that way
who gives a ****.
Not really diggin it. need to find a compromise between the original suit worn by Linda Carter and the first new suit that was changed. The Lasso was also changed. What was that done for? It is a magic Lasso, therefore it did not have to altered.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
