Believe it or not, but X-Men: First Class is still casting! At this point they must have, like, 15,000 mutants in their massive cast – and good news is they're adding at least one more. Deadline tells us that Edi Gathegi has signed on to play Darwin, a bi-racial (half-hispanic, half-black) mutant who comes with the power of reactive evolution. What is reactive evolution? Well it's a power that allows him to adapt to whatever environment he's in – like he'll grow gills if he's swimming underwater or gain night vision if in the pitch black dark.

I have a comment for Wondersaurus_Rex out there. Here's a great use of quotation marks for you. When a friend saw the comments of Wondersaurus_Rex he said, "What a ****! Does this guy not realize it's not an essay contest, it's a place for people to get their opinions out there quickly to let there voice be heard on a particular topic? For you to marginalize that into a writing lesson and to tell them that they are "not credible" and "distracting" is haughty and snobbish. Next time you decide you want to give a lesson make sure you are in a classroom, not a movie web site. By the way, everyone else understood it's about the movie not the other replies, why not yours? Personally I love that the X-Men are getting a re-do! Go Marvel!
"Next time you decide you want to give a lesson make sure you are in a classroom, not a movie web site."
Just pointing out the hypocrisy. Thanks for the laugh.
hahahahah your just mad because he burned your ass!
i think he'll make an exellent mutant. it shouldn't be a problem for him at all. he acted well with his roll in twilight.
he's got dreads what else matters?
Well I'd like to see any twilight actor (except Pattinson) get roles that will change my opinion of them. If first class is gonna do well it needs all the new talent it can get. Afterall these are supposed to be young versions of the characters, and marvel has got to reclaim x-men and make them cool again. I'm not saying I didn't like the 3rd film but it seemed to like the good storytelling that was present in the first two. Phoenix had such potential but again they tried to do too much in one film ( the same problem spiderman 3 had). Im excited for the movie and hope it is a good movie.
I'm going to see this movie because I have seen the other X-Men films, but X-Men has been on a decline lately, especially with the last two films. I think what they should do is bring whoever is left from the original storyline, pit them against Apocalypse and be done with it.
The decline came with the last film. Brett Ratner didn't understand nor honor the X-Men story. The third film was a star vehicle for Halle Berry.
I think he'll do great! He already has the bad boy-with superpowers appeal thanks to the first two Twilight films. I could totally see him as one of the X-Men. Can't wait to see it!
That's excellent "news" and "thrilled" for this very talented man/Actor Edi Gathergi "Laurent" the enchanting bad-boy/good-boy in TWILIGHT "New Moon" & also TWILIGHT. I lov' his speaking voice and mysterious-rich enchanting looks: I was very upset when he was killed off in "New Moon" all because he chase down Bella and wanted to bite her but in the 1st movie he did try to save her through sound advice give to Edward Cullen. NICE to see that "more" Roles are coming EDI's way and will be in The X-MEN: First Class new movie so mentioned above: thus far a really "great" Cast list. cheers!
"Glad" to see that you are a "fan" of "quotation" marks. Here are some "helpful" hints for you:
Quotation marks are used in the English language to signify the beginning and end of a quoted phrase. For example, quotation marks are used in journalistic writing to distinguish between the journalist's comments and those of interviewed sources:
When asked about this erroneous misuse of quotation marks, my source responded, "I weep for the future."
While some people mistakenly use quotation marks to add a particular and often unintelligible emphasis to certain words, quotation is the only acceptable use for the appropriately named quotation mark. Your usage is distracting and removes credibility from your comment. Hope this helps! Cheers!
This made my day. Rock on brother.
BAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!!! I had almost forgotten what win looked like.
Javajive I like, and agree, with your comment.
Thank you for being courteous and agreeing with & found meaning in my comment. Have a great day!
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
