I thought the Lizard was a great and formidable villain for The Amazing Spiderman. With a combination of intelligence & strength, & without the help of Captain Stacy, he would have defeated Spidey & succeeded in his toxic plan.
I would love to see the Green Goblin rebooted as effectively as this movie franchise has been. He a complex & exciting adversary for Spiderman..always loved those exploding pumpkins! OR how about Electro (nobody mentioned him). With a costume update, he'd be a nightmare for Spidey but a wet-dream for a Visual FX/CG artist!!
The Lizard is a good starting villain for the new direction that the spiderman story is now taking. The Amazing Spiderman seems to focus more on the brainy side of Peter Parker, yet trying to reveal the reason behind his parents disappearance. The presence of the Lizard is a good link to Parker's past; one shrouded in mystery between Dr. Conners and Richard Parker. At the same time establishing his own identity: a scientist (like his father), a hero, and a man with his own journey to endure. The Lizard being Spiderman's first true nemesis brought inner turmoil to his character, demonstrating the true meaning of the phrase, "With great power comes great responsibility".
The lizard was a great villian, but I'd love to see Venom have another shot in the new Spiderman series. I think he's got a lot more potential than what we saw with Topher Grace.
I want to see Deadpool in the next Spidey movie!
Lizard is a great villain for Spider-man. But I want to see Kingpin, Tombstone, Craven, or Mysterio.
I like the Lizard as a villain. He's not just simply evil, there's another side to him which makes him more interesting.
The Lizard was an interesting character and a challenge for the new hero.
The Lizard worked great for the movie, but there are better villains.
the Lizard is great but we need gobbie
yes he was good villain
The Lizard is cool, but The Vulture might be cool to see because he can fly and be a great threat in battle.
I thought the Lizard was okay but I think there are far more preferable choices that would have been a better match. I find it so hard to choose just one!
The Lizard is a great choice, as Connors, as well as Osborn are closely related to the world of Peter Parker.
Yes the Lizard is a great villain for Spider-Man to face. Good vs. Evil. Basic.
the movie was Narley and Wicked good loved it in 3d Imax cant wait for the next one
I loved the new attitude that Andrew Garfield brought to Peter Parker it was alot more true to the comic book character than Tobey Maguire did to his Peter parker. I also thought the Lizard was very scary especially in Imax 3d. I loved the scene where Stan Lee has the head phones on,he and has had no that the lizard and Spiderman are destroying the library behind him. It was also good to see C. Thomas Howell "A.K.A. Ponyboy Curtis." from the "The Outsider" get a bite out of such a juicy peach as a role in "The Amazing Spiderman."
In terms of strength, Spiderman is obviously outmatched so the Lizard is a great villain for Spiderman. Although, I'm sure Spiderman wouldn't think he's great while he is getting squashed the Lizard.
The lizard is ok but venom done right would be better.
lizard was awesome. hope to see some mysterio at some point
Dr. Connors/The Lizard was a perfect villain in this first movie's focus on Peter's origins, and I hope that connection continues to be explored in the next movie. However, I hope we get a glimpse at Venom!
The Lizard is OK but I would Love to see the Vulture as a villian also bring in the Black Cat
I thought the lizard was good. The graphics were great!
lizzie is good villian but i would like mysterio or electro next
YES !!!! the lizard is awesome !!!!
yes he was but carnage would be better
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
