Which Sequel Should Paramount Make: 'Zoolander 2' or 'Anchorman 2'?

Fans were quite ecstatic recently when word came down that not only was Ben Stiller working on the long-rumored Zoolander 2, but Adam Mckay and Will Ferrell had also began work on Anchorman 2, a sequel to their beloved cult hit. And yes, while each film features big stars and were pretty decent-sized releases from a major studio, both definitely found their fans on DVD, and most certainly belong in the cult favorite category over anything else.

Unfortunately, both sequels also seem like they're not gonna happen. While Paramount certainly wants to make them, right now their budgets are too high (around $70 million and upwards) and the studio needs them to come down to around $40 million, which may be hard considering their all-star casts are now demanding all-star paychecks. Deadline also reports that Paramount isn't quite sold on the higher budgets since neither original film did well overseas…and, well, the overseas market is a big (and lucrative) one.

So right now we're sort of stuck in limbo while everyone involved continues to negotiate. If the studio sees a ton of support from fans, then maybe they'll be convinced to make both or one over the other. What do you think?
